The team at Alex Taylor were very helpful in getting the funeral arrangements just right for the funeral of our relative. At all stages they were very professional. From the first meeting discussing our requirements they guided us along the way, regularly making worthwhile suggestions. They listened to what we wanted and made further options or changes to give our relative a funeral the family and friends thought very fitting.They recommended the use the Reverend Robert Parry to conduct the service. Robert speaks Welsh and has a great singing voice which is something our dearly departed would have appreciated. Alex Taylor assisted with the Order of Service and a number of late changes we asked to be made were no problem to them.The funeral ran very smoothly, with Alex Taylor paying attention to the little details that showed they have the highest professional standards in their staff and in conducting such a difficult occasion for the family.

Glen and all at Alex Taylor gave our Uncle Frank a wonderful send off. The whole service from the beautiful flowers and the excellent celebrants Sarah & Jamie to the high quality orders of service was done competently and professionally to the highest standards. Our experience at this sad time was excellent. Michelle at the Birkenhead office was particularly caring and kind. She was efficient and showed attention to detail. She made this difficult task easy. The funeral director and his team on the day were also caring and helpful.

After making the initial phone call to Dignity, it was a big relief to have everything taken care of from start to finish.Gaynor was excellent with her approach to everything and kept me well informed throughout the whole process. Alex Taylor Funeral Directors (Birkenhead - Whetstone Lane) were incredibly supportive towards Mum and I after my Father (Norman) had sadly passed away.They (Ellis and Jessica) were kind and informative and helped us to create a very special and bespoke celebration of life, completely different from a traditional burial. They made excellent recommendations including; a wonderful celebrant, Sarah Townsend and even arranged a naval drape to go over Dad’s coffin, which was a lovely touch to recognise his service.The opportunity for a private family visit at the chapel of rest was much appreciated and it was a welcoming and peaceful environment. Our funeral director, Glen, was absolutely fantastic on the day itself - warm, respectful and calm - making everyone feel at ease. A really lovely gentleman and I don’t think we could have got through the day without him! I couldn't recommend Alex Taylor Funeral Directors highly enough. James.

Losing your darling mother is one of the hardest blows in life. Alex Taylor staff were extremely caring, empathetic, and professional and nothing I requested was too much trouble for them. The importance of having this level of care at the most difficult times in your life cannot be understated. They willingly embraced all my special requests and offered suggestions that were beautiful. A special thanks to Sue who looked after my Mum with such dignified respect and sensitive care while she was at the funeral home. Heartfelt thanks.

The wonderful staff at Alex Taylor dealt with my dad’s funeral in 2017 and my mum’s in 2021, the care and services we received were excellent both times. Such a painful and stressful time made so much easier for us all to cope with because of the understanding and caring nature of all of the staff. Mum and dad both paid for their funerals in advance which took a massive financial worry away from us. I’ll be prepaying my funeral with them too so that I can take that worry away from my kids and I know they’ll be looked after in the same way that we were.

I cannot thank the staff especially Ellis enough for making the arrangement of my sisters funeral a painless experience.The way my niece and nephew who are both autistic were treated was commendable, they were involved in all the decision making.I also want to thank you for the sensitive way the viewing of my sister was handled for her children.We are forever grateful.
