This is the biggest market in the Northeast for sure! you can spend like an hour here with no problems. There are so many stallholders who are very nice and sweet and friendly, and they sell books, CDs clothing, plates, plants, food; jewelry, etc. It’s just such a nice place to visit, especially when it’s weekends or holidays, there would be a load of people here. Also just so convenient to get there that you can take a metro and once you get off you are entering the market. It just has the perfect location.

We stumbled across this market by accident, having planned to go to Whitley Bay, not Tynemouth.It was a very pleasant find.Set in the beautiful Tynemouth station, there was a great diversity of produce ranging from metal sculptures to wooden bird feeders. There were also several street food sellers.There was a great atmosphere & a plethora of dogs happily walking around with their owners.

Open every Saturday and Sunday. Must be a 100 stalls in there selling allsorts plus Street Food. Pick up a bargain. Great for people watching as well.

These markets are cool and a few stalls had some really unique items (fire extinguisher lamps etc.) A lot of the same items being sold by multiple stalls. A few stalls had some good ideas but the quality just wasn't there (printed t-shirts & mugs) There was a band the day we went and it was so loud! If you do head in, be sure to check out the candy shop on the far side of the markets in The Sidings (intendent shops). Its a permanent fixture & not part of the stalls. It was a fun way to spend a Saturday morning though not at all what we expected it would be.

This market has something for everyone! A proper market with bargains to be found and quirky, unique bits and pieces. Lots of lovely food options. It's pretty cool that the station is still in use with the train running through and market stalls both sides of the tracks. It's under cover too, so if it's raining, you won't get wet!

Interesting flea market on a disused railway station. Lots of stalls with something for everyone. Very busy.
