The Cheese, Gin & Ale Barn

I've been using this place for years, they have a fantastic selection of cheeses & accompaniments. They also have a great selection of beers if you fancy something a little less mainstream it's a great place to try!

What a lovely interesting shop so many bottles of alcohol and the staff are so knowledgeable on all of them.nothing to much trouble for the staff lovely cheese board gifts great gift for someone and a Sppecial thankyou to Heather I will be back soon I highly recommend anyone to pay a visit. Popped into the Cheese Gin and Ale Barn after visiting an art gallery, and I was extremely impressed by the place! First of all, they had such a collection of amazing sounding cheeses that it took me far too long to decide which to purchase. In the end I settled on two..which were amazing! But I can't wait to go back and try more. The service was exceptional, and made this a joyous experience. The staff member was very helpful despite me not being sure what to buy, and was so helpful and lovely..it was like a day out and not a shopping trip. As she cut the Cheese, I had a look around..there is also a great selection of ales and gins. I will be back very soon at the Cheese Gin and Ale bar and cannot recommend it highly enough!!!

A brilliant time had by us all at the gin tasting evening last night. Great hosts, lots of banter, amazing selection of gins. Nearly all the gins were new to me, and I now have new favourites!!

We went to the barn on our way home from St George's Park. We have used it before and always find a great selection of beer, cheese and spirits served with a pleasant smile.A couple of years ago the proprietor came to the house and conducted a gin and cheese tasting evening for a number of the family.

Good stock and quality products but the gin is 10-20% more expensive than it is online ! Payed £28 for a bottle to later find out it's only £16 on multiple online sites.

This place is amazing! It's such a little gem. It sells the most Fantastic selection of gin which you can try before you buy! The last that works there is so lovely, helpful and knowledgeable. The cheese selection is fabulous. I would definitely recommend this place, if you could give more than 5 stars I would!!!

Virtual tasting in place of a Ladies Weekend away for a dear friends 50th birthday, cancelled due to COVID19. Didn't know what to expect, had an absolute blast of a time. The gin tasting was great. All those selected were high quality and so were the accompanying mixers which were perfectly paired. I went into it thinking I didn't really like gin but now realise it was Schweppes Tonic all along that I didn't like! Really opened my eyes and now I'll be trying more gins. Louise the host was brilliant, a lovely party host who is very knowledgable and lots of fun too! Really enjoyed it, turned a sadly cancelled weekend that was meant to be great into one to remember. Thanks to Louise for being such a fabulous host, see you in the shop soon and you can guide me towards some more tasty gin!
