I don't write bad reviews because what it good for one guy is not so good for another.Friendly receptionist. Very small. Much older crowd. Not for me personally.

It was my first time there and I loved it - very friendly and mature crowd with a few younger guys there too . The on-site massage therapists are worth a try too - very professional. I had a great time and will definitely come again .

I’ve got tired of the clinical, cold feeling of the bigger saunas. This place is more intimate and friendly. Free coffee/biscuits. Facilities are small and a little basic but still work great. Friendly crowd. Go at a more peak time with plenty time on your hands and you won’t be disappointed.

While on my recent trip to London I was recommended this sauna.  It was fantastic.  The location is good if you are in the Paddington, Marble Arch or Edware Road area.I was warmly greater by Mike, a perfect host. He gave me a tour round . The  whole place was spotless. It isn't the biggest but for me that's a bonus, more intermate and you don't miss any action. All the staff are very polite and cheerful. Free tea or coffee with biscuits in the lounge area. A large steam room and sauna are available with plenty of private areas too.It did get very busy around 2.30pm All ages and a lot of the men were local and extremely friendly. All in all a great experience 5 *****

I hadn’t been to this sauna for some time until my recent visit. There has been few or little change apart from the inflated entry which has increased from £18 to £19. This puts it on a par with Chariots Vauxhall; entry at £20 but with reduced price between noon and 3pm on Monday to Thursday and a concessionary price of £18 for those with a Freedom Pass or under 25; Pleasuredrome £18; Sailors £18 with some concessions and Early Bird reduction on some days + Free Sunday Lunch; The Stable £19.You could drop Portsea into these establishments at least three to four times over. They also have far superior facilities including larger steam rooms and saunas, more lockers, more restrooms as well as Jacuzzis.I arrived just after lunch and there were about 10 other bathers, mostly in the 50 to 70 age bracket. At around 16:30 a few more people arrived and the place began to get a bit full and uncomfortable (there are around 30 lockers, which when in full use means that the facilities are “swamped”).Not a place I would wish to frequent too often although they do give you free tea or coffee and a couple of custard creams and it is close to the West End. The staff were friendly and pleasant. I did not take-up the offer of a massage.
