Went to the self checkout to buy some food. I placed the items on the wrong side for one second and a guy who works there comes over aggressively, yells something unintelligible at me, then picks up the items and slams them down on the other side.I didn't even get time to react but it wasn't a very nice experience. I've also seen several other reviews about the exact same thing happening with who I imagine to be the same guy.Rude and unpleasant experience. He shouldn't be working in any customer service role.

If you're heading home and need to grab a few essentials for your evening meal this place is OK. They stock a fair variety of things but don't expect the whole range of products - this is more or less a glorified convenience store. It gets very busy too. OK for popular bits and pieces, but you certainly couldn't do your weekly big shop" here."

Decent shop in the station, quite a good range. Unfortunately the customer service is poor. Aiden who works on the self service checkout is the rudest, surliest shop worker I think I’ve ever met and does his absolute best to ignore customers and not do his job. Shame that he seems to work in a customer facing role frequently. Also there is no adherence to even common sense COVID measures with incorrectly worn masks and self service past squeezing/pushing past needlessly. Work on staff training/common manners and could be a good store

Normally ok but there is what I can only describe as a little Karen" who works in here that likes the make massive issues out of nothing and unsettle customers on a morning giving them a bad start to the day

Handy location in the station with a good mix of pre-prepared and ready to cook food, as well as other products expected of a small convenience store. Good range of drinks and snacks for the train too, and usually quick to pay thanks to self-service tills in operation.

Yesterday coming from London, I went in to grab a few things for dinner, I went to pay in one of the self counters, one of the staff came to me and was so rude shouting at me that I was putting my things on the opposite side of the counter, he then proceeds and is trying to rushing me, and continues to be rude. I told him that was not very nice the way he was talking at me. He said he had a bad day, and I replied that was not an excuse to be rude. I paid and I got out off there very fast. An terrible experience. I don't think I will be back there.

Whoever the guy is at the self-serve checkouts needs to be removed. I actually thought it was a drunken disorderly person who didn't work there harassing people. He was grabbing customers for putting cans on the wrong" part of the self-serve checkouts. Honestly I was appalled and heard another customer behind me say that security should be called before realising that he worked there! I couldn't run out of there fast enough. I can assure you every single customer was uncomfortable."

I was initially hesitant to write this at first but one of the staff members in charge of the self-checkout area has an incredibly rude attitude. I shop at this Sainsbury's at least once a week and I have encountered this man several times and I can recall at least 4-5 times of him being rude to myself or other customers. I think his name is Aiden, he is the tall guy with long hair and I have seen several reviews calling him out for his attitude. On one occasion my mates and I were buying cans of beer and I am in my late 20s having lost half my hair and he rudely asked for my ID even though I clearly look and am 12 years overage.. I refused to show my ID to him and another staff member sorted me out. On another occasion I was walking towards one of the self checkouts and he started yelling at me telling me to use a different machine to the one I was walking towards just because 'he said so'. All machines were available as the store wasn't busy then so I fail to comprehend what he was trying to achieve. I ignored him and used the machine I was going for initially. Finally our most recent encounter was whilst I was scanning my items yesterday and I held one of those plastic bags, he snatched the bag out of my hand and scanned it and threatened me by saying 'don't you dare leave without paying for your bag', all this for a 10p bag. This staff member should not be in this job if he cannot speak to shoppers with a minimum amount of respect and I am surprised he hasn't been told off or even sacked yet given that this has been going on for a while now based on my experience as well as other reviews about him. I have kept my mouth shut so far and have ignored him, but next time I doubt I will be able to walk out of the store without giving him a piece of my mind should I or any other customer be subject to his rude behaviour. Sort him out ASAP.

Came in yesterday to buy some things after a long day. I’d forgotten an item and Aiden very kindly told me where to find it and made sure I had a bag and everything I needed! Thanks Aiden! Much appreciated!
