Lovely to revisit this little pub for a delicious Sunday dinner. Stopped by on way to Beamish and luckily got a table as was quite busy.Both food and service was amazing, the waitress was very helpful and immediately advised on pescatarian options for us.Definitely will be coming back!

Just had Sunday dinners here turkey was amazing , all the food was. Just had a long wait for our food summit like 35/40 mins. Service very friendly and helpful

Well, what can I say but this is quite possibly the friendliest big place I've stayed in. The service is 1st class from the original welcome to the people behind the bar , servers , cleaners, and breakfast providers.The room was spotless when I arrived & also after I returned after a days work, so thank you to Heather. I believe the ladies' name was for that.The vegetarian options were OK for the main meals, but the vegetarian breakfast was delicious & filling

Food and place was lovely as usual, felt the service could have been better staff could have been a bit more cheerful. I was asked where we were sitting i explained whereabouts our table was i had looked for a table number but there was no number . When i went to pay the bill i explained where we were sitting the girl at the till said there would be a number on the vase i thought maybe we had missed it. I looked on way out there was no number. One of your staff blond young girl had a face like a smacked backside when taking our order and not once did she say there would be a table number ......Really sorry to say this as i have always loved dining here but unless the staff cheer up a bit i wont be back .

Have not stayed here but have had lunch/dinner here multiple times and it is very good. Excellent selection of alcohol free beers which is important for me. Food is excellent. Service is terrific, very welcoming staff. Lovely ambiance as well, classy without losing country pub charm.

Fantastic food, lovely atmosphere very clean and nice areas for food in the restaurant and great space to drink in the bar. All of the staff are really accommodating and more than helpful with any requests. Nothing is too much bother. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely family meal here. Everybody was happy with their food, the service was fast and the resturant itself was decorated great for Christmas! Will definitely return.

We called after a walk on a cold/wet autumn day after driving passed. Noticed it was dog friendly so called in on our way home for lunch. Great pub, friendly service and the food was lovely. Lots to choose from for my little girl (6 year old) for her dinner and also me and my wife had plenty to choose from. it arrived at the table very quickly and was lovely. We sat by the open fire warming up, which our dog massively appreciated :)We'll definitely be back again and highly recommend it to anyone.
