Really great place to explore but would have been nice to be able to find a waste bin or dog waste bin. Considering lots of visitors also had dogs with them it seems odd that there aren't any waste bins, or certainly none that we could find.

Lovely day out in a very peaceful park. Great views from Seat How, the walk from the visitor centre and back taking 2 hours and it's not too strenuous. Paths well marked and gravel. Parking is £8 for all day, but about £5 for 2 1/2 hours. There's free parking on the approach road at Noble Knott and you can do some trails there or walk about 20 mins up the road to the visitor centre. Shop, Cafe bike hire and toilets are all there. Great adventure playground stuff for children too, and fun wee Gruffalo themed trails.

Wonderful day out here! 5 children between the ages of 7 and 11 all thoroughly enjoyed it! 5 adults all seemed to have lots of fun too! We considered the Go Ape too but decided we were all quite happy with the gruffolo walk and play areas. Beautiful views! Very peaceful and not too crowded (even at the picnic stops and play areas)! £8 parking for the entire day, or less of you only stay a few hours. Toilets, gift shop and cafes are all on site. Really nice family day out.

We got there early, with no issues with parking. You need to put your car registration in when you arrive but pay on leaving. We paid £5.50 for just under 3 hours. There are a few different walking trails to do depending on ability, and all are well sign posted. Bike and walking trails are kept somewhat separate.Although we had no children with us you could see the park was well equipped and also has a Go Ape there too. We had a lovely walk around. The cafe and shop are lovely and toilets available too. Perfect for dogs.

Nice place for a walk. Several different walks are available, would love to come back and try a longer one. Parking was quite expensive, and the lack of bins is off putting, unless you enjoy walking for miles with a bag of dog poo in your hand.

A super place in the Lake District, ideal to take the kids, plenty of parking, and a super little gift shop and great cafe on site, especially for a decent coffee or hot chocolate to keep out the Autumn chills! There is a really good Go Ape on site to challenge the kids, and it has plenty of lovely walks through the forest, giving the incredible Lakes views we all love. A short drive from Keswick, thoroughly recommended.

We had such a lovely time. Cafe was great, food was well worth the money and the coffee and ice creams were delicious too. Loved the gruffalo trail and the view from the gruffalo was astonishing. Lots of lovely picnic benches up there too so worth carrying your picnic up with you.

Great trails, had good advice in the bike shop as I had never been there before, nice café. Very picturesque area. Parking charges were a bit steep as seems to be the case with a lot of forestry areas and getting worse. Forestry were also butchering part of the MTB trails felling trees, also seems to be prevalent in quite a few forests at the moment, cashing in no doubt. Still there's enough off piste to mitigate this if you look for it. Big up to the local diggers.
