I am extremely disappointed by my experience at this dealership. While the staff appeared to be friendly, I encountered a major issue that left me very frustrated. I had reserved a car which was brought over from another branch and willingly paid a £250 deposit. However, upon test driving the car, I noticed two faults that should have been addressed before my viewing, which was several days later. This made me doubt the overall condition of the car, leading me to decide not to proceed with the purchase.Requesting a refund of my deposit turned into a real ordeal. Given that I live quite far from the dealership and work full-time, going in during their opening hours was a significant burden, costing me about 1.5 hours of travel time and additional expenses for petrol. I asked if they could process the refund over the phone, but they flat-out refused, insisting that I must come in person. This was not mentioned when I initially paid the deposit. My bank confirmed that processing the refund remotely was indeed possible, but the dealership was adamant that they couldn’t. Finally, when I managed to make it to the dealership, the person handling the refund initially claimed that I had the wrong card for the transaction. Luckily, another staff member overheard the situation and explained that when paying with a phone, the card numbers are changed for security reasons - information that the first person was evidently unaware of. Thankfully, this revelation allowed me to finally receive my refund.This experience has left me deeply dissatisfied with the dealership's lack of consideration for their customers' convenience. The hassle, wasted time and wasted expenses could have been easily avoided if they had been more transparent about their refund policies and more knowledgeable about payment methods.

The Service Manager was helpful and efficient . He gave me an estimated time as to how long the job would take. They ran over slightly, But I sat in reception and had a nice cup of coffee.The work was done to my satisfaction and currently there are no problems. Thank you to the service department.

Unfortunately, I decided to try and buy a Toyota from this dealership. We had planned to buy a couple cars. We were unfortunately sat down by Matthew, who in which when we told our budget to for the used car (a starter car, as we did not bring up the idea of a newer car for my mother yet), immediately met us with a statement about how “I won’t give you a better price because you can afford it” as if we had requested special treatment, which when we ignored that statement we found it to be smooth for a while. We were then shown a car that looked like it was pulled from a breaker yard. The car had duct tape holding things together, completely small (ignorable) scratches on the interior, spider webs indicating the bay was not cleaned, and dirt filling the inside of the car, for a large price (for the quality and presentation) of £7000. Now this might have made the presentation negative, but surely if I was still invested in continuing it would get better?After a slight discussion about how I don’t feel the vehicle is worth that price considering the presentation, I was met with a statement that the vehicle was not prepared (even though there was a sale sign inside and it was an option to Matthew.) and I was told that I would receive a call on Friday when it is ready. Okay, fine, I will wait then as I’m still ready to give an opportunity.Fast forward to the next week Wednesday, when I decided to call myself and explain I did not receive my Friday call, to be told that the vehicle was sold and was immediately questioned if I wanted another vehicle to which I responded with only the same model, and then hastily the call was cut short. (This was after I attempted multiple times to get through to the line.)For my needs, I don’t find that this dealership at this time is worth it, however if I do end up returning, I will be requesting a different salesperson. The dealership itself may not be negative, as when I arrived my options were smaller than I had hoped, but I’d okay and did not affect my experience, the only negative was the salesman.I would like to point out that we were greeted in an incredibly welcoming manner by a female employee who I did not get the name of, and found that to be a nice introduction to the dealershipWe also experienced a “disappearing”Matthew that others stated.Apart from all the negatives, I do hope there is success in the future with other people.

Really disappointed with the after sales customer service. I specifically requested a PCP agreement with 25K miles pa as I am a high mileage driver and even have an email from the garage confirming this would be the case, with payments quoted accordingly. This would have provided the mileage I need over a 3 year period and I took out a servicing plan for the length of time I planned to own the vehicle.The final document was E-signed whilst I was sitting in a layby (as it was needed urgently) and I had verbal confirmation that the mileage was as I required. After receiving the vehicle, I noted that I only have 13k miles pa, which is no use to me. I've phoned Toyota Finance, who I expected to amend this as it was an error on the part of the garage, and increase my monthly payments. However, the finance company flatly refuse to help. The dealership has been no help whatsoever.I am 4 months down the line and have done 10k miles already. There is no warning on the car, nor anything from the garage to notify a service is due - it is only on the app. Not everyone checks apps all of the time and services can be at odd intervals, not just 10K or 1 year, so I found this really unhelpful.To add to this, the car was delivered with only one key. Still no update from Toyota on when I can expect the second key fob.Really disappointed that I will need to swap my car much earlier than planned as I will be going into excess mileage, when this could all have been avoided.

It saddens me to reflect upon my experience which has been far less than satisfactory. I bought a Toyota CHR hybrid from Listers Stratford, investing a good £24,000 in the car. It was a significant purchase I was initially happy with, considering it an investment for several years. Unfortunately, I found myself in a position where I had to sell my car just 5 months in. Given it was fairly used and well maintained, I didn't expect a drastic dip in its resale value. However, to my utter surprise, upon approaching Listers for the same, the offer I received was a mere £14,700. It's disappointing and concerning that a car's value can drop so drastically in just 5 months. This has undermined the trust I put into this dealership with regards to accurate vehicle pricing. To others considering purchasing from this dealership, I would advise caution. 'Buyer Beware' should be the mantra here. It's essential to thoroughly research, compare prices and only then make such a hefty investment. sincerely hope no other customer has to experience such a situation.
