He gave lots of advice both before and after the report, was easy to talk to and happy to explain the results, which were reassuring and helped us decide on our purchase. Very thorough and useful photos. It was 1974 cruiser so knowledge of the condition was critical. We would highly recommend.

Tom recently completed a pre-purchase survey on a 2020 Jeanneau Merry Fisher 795 Series 2 for us.The initial engagement and the survey process itself were both enjoyable and interesting experiences.Tom was extremely helpful and reassuring when explaining the purpose and scope of the survey. Although the boat seemed evidently in good condition, his thoroughness and sophisticated techniques left us in no doubt that the boat had been comprehensively assessed. We even have a record of the heat map showing the Yamaha outboard operating comfortably within tolerances.A number of small but important actions for rectification by the vendor were also recommended and equally importantly they were not disputed.He is clearly very highly regarded and his professional reputation for attention to detail is well deserved.We are delighted to proceed with the purchase and confident that our investment is a solid one. I think myself very lucky to have found Tom to survey my narrow boat. He was very thorough and gave me a lot of advice about caring for my boat and now I can go forward knowing that, despite her age (1979), she is a sound vessel.
