Helen Pittard managed my case extremely well. Although she took on my case very late, just a couple of months before the final hearing, she worked hard in a timely manner and exceeding my expectations in regards to the final result. Donna Robinson was my mediator between myself and my ex. I’m currently on maternity leave and was able to afford one session a month and advised her of this thinking it was confidential. On her confirming the meeting with my ex she told him on TWO occasions that it was because of my low finances that the process was running slower. There is a reason why my ex and myself are going through mediation and I have spoken of the abuse I get from him. This has been used against me in multiple arguments because Donna Robinson told him of my circumstances which have nothing to do with him. It’s absolutely disgusting and so unprofessional. I had to cancel my mediation after one meet and greet session with her and wasted £100.00.

Helen who is our Family mediator has been helping me and ex partner in the past to get fair equal agreement over the child access and difficult separation issues! Easy to understand the process and would highly recommend to them if you are struggle to get a agreement with ex-partner. I had a bad experience with 174. They had acted for me for almost 2 years and I honestly think back and can see how pressured I felt by Melissa who was my family law solicitor! I was heavily pregnant and then had twins alone and lots of things going on in my life. I just agreed to Melissa with the court order she suggested and I regretted it! Yes ne and my ex had a lot of back and forth going on but almost 2 and a half years later I’m stronger and better to be able to deal with things myself!last year I remember we had a hearing and the staff couldn’t tell me clearly whether we will be going or not I had to constantly be on their case and last minute I was told yea there’s a hearing tomorrow ! That was so unprofessional and unpleasant! I asked to make an application to vary the the order but they weren’t communicating that funding hasn’t been received and it’s a really simple process and I can apply online myself ! None of that was explained to me and I got slammed by the judge!My experience was bad maybe due to post traumatic experiences and stress of having to be in the situation I was. Regardless I was vulnerable and better care Should have taken place! I wish I knew what I know now but you never do until the experience is over ! Anyway if you choose the firm then prepare yourself and read up as much as you can before instructing and even after instructing you need to be on top of everything and using legal aid solicitors was the worst experience as you don’t get the same experience as you would had you paid for it!

The mediator didn't appear to be impartial at all, whenever my ex was talking the mediator's body language clearly showed she agreed; the sad face, bubba lip and little affirmative nods which I found very insulting.I found it very concerning that my ex was able to admit to perpetrating physical domestic abuse during the session and the mediator didn't acknowledge it or even attempt to give me a chance to discuss it.I left feeling I had no voice in the proceedings.
