Always excellent service, been going there for many, many years, and never been disappointed.

I had a new battery fitted in my watch, quick and good customer service. They also cleaned up the battery fitting on an old clock which saved me the cost of having the mechanism replaced. Highly recommended.

Great service at a very reasonable price from consummate professionals who really know their business. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending these guys.

i would give no stars if I could. It's such a shame but it's not the same shop it used to be. As a family we've been using the shop for over 20 years and always had good service and work but this is no longer the case. I had a ring resized and they haven't done it properly so there is now a sharp area on the ring then a diamond has fallen out. When I complained they made it clear they didn't care they have done shoddy work and had no intention of repairing their work. All they would say is that is that work is done at your risk, so if you take your ring there it's at your own risk. My advice is find a reputable jeweller and avoid them like the plague especially if it is special jewellery. I've attached photos to show how bad the resize is.EDIT TO REPLY TO RESPONSE BELOW:It's a shame you didn't show any of that sentiment in your email or when I visited your shop. That fact you chose to answer this review and not contact me directly when you have my email and phone number and know exactly who I shows that you are more interested in what people think than actually resolving the issue. I feel sad for Mr Wright that you are ruining his reputation.

Wonderfully helpful service from Wrights in selling some old family jewellery. Great to experience high quality service from an independent family business.

I have been using this jewellers on and off for many years and so has my family.They are great for many things- From broken chain links and repairs to watch batteries etc.But my recent visit was for a piece of jewellery and they lady that served me was so helpful and really tryed to understand what I was looking for. They have some beautiful stock and even showed me options that weren’t in store but they could order in.Eventually we narrowed my options down to 2.I have never been able to fault their service given and prices are reasonable.Lovely local jewellers.Thanks again for your time.

A jewellery shop with knowledgeable and friendly staff. I used their repair service for my watch, they were quick and great value, notably they repair clocks too. If you want to buy a unique Christmas present then they also have a great range of diamond, gold and silver jewellery gifts!

Very, very disappointing experience. Would NEVER use them again. Went to buy a necklace at the £173.00 on the label. Put it through the till, paid for it on debit card. Lady on the counter realised it was the price for a bracelet not a necklace. She spoke to shop owner and told me she couldn't sell it at that price. Gave me a refund. Checked with a lawyer who told me a retailer is not obliged to sell at the price on the label, but it is ILLEGAL to display the wrong price. I'll be telling all my friends and family of this appalling service.
