Amsel and Wilkins Dental Practice

I have always been a very nervous patient but I have just had some fillings with Amsel and Wilkins (with Nigel) and I can honestly say I felt so safe, happy and I could feel my anxiety levels begin to fall to the extent that I feel comfortable with further treatment. The two appointments I have had have filled me with confidence and renewed trust in dental procedures and I am so so delighted - thank you

Booked a appointment to join after a emergency filling. Was impressed by the lay out and ease of booking online around work commitments. But turn up today to say dentists was running late 30 mins + so had to leave for work commitments. I Called back 5 mins later to say I could wait after talking to my work and I could start later but told that dentist was finishing at 12.30 so wouldn’t see me anyway. Courtesy call saying he was running late would have saved hassle of parking fees and trip to Banbury or I could have arranged my shift pattern pre appointment.

Brilliant dental practice, all the staff are very friendly and the dental work I have received has always been excellent. I would highly recommend them.

Today 6/10/2023 I visited Amsel & Wilkins Dental practice in Banbury. As usual I was greeted warmly and addressed by name by the reception staff. Promptly after my arrival I was invited to the dental treatment room. Today my dentist Piers Neville finished the dental work of all my upper teeth. It included number of crowns and veneers to my front teeth. I could not believe these lovely teeth were mine! So white, beautiful, just perfect! Now I am so very happy, and I smile with great confidence.Piers is my favourite dentist. He is such a good professional and person. As well as being a great professional, Piers is also highly efficient dentist and I always feel at ease with him.I highly recommend Piers Neville if you need high quality teeth work!Dani

Apologies for the long story, but it's a worthwhile read..At 9AM on Sunday 13th March I was due to jump in the car and drive down the M40 to get married after a 2 year COVID induced delay. At 4AM that morning a loud crack at my mouth woke me up, and to my horror I realised my bridge had fallen out and I now had a tooth sized gap in my smile.At 7AM, after 3 rather stressful hours I called the emergency number on Amsel & Wilkins' answering machine which was immediately answered by Nigel. After explaining my emergency, Nigel told me to meet him at 8AM and he'd fix me right up.Nigel opened up the practice just for me, on a Sunday morning, and by 8.45AM I was walking back up Banbury High Street relaxed and stress-free (well as stress-free as you can be before your wedding) with all my teeth in my mouth - rather than in my pocket..By 4.30PM I was tucking into pork belly and crackling like nothing had happened.A huge thank you to Nigel from me and my new wife for saving my smile on our wedding day, as well as from our photographer who you saved from many, many hours of photoshop. Finally, my bestwoman thanks you for the additional story for her speech, one that received plenty of gasps and laughter.From a very appreciative patient for life.

I couldn’t recommend Amsel and Wilkins enough. I had my two front teeth knocked out and was left with horrible teeth that I’ve been self-conscious of. Piers supported me throughout the whole process and has been amazing. Today I finished my treatment and my teeth look absolutely incredible. From the reception team to the actual treatment I’ve had a totally superb experience. This has been life-changing for me, and I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone at Amsel and Wilkins for all of their help!

I couldn't be happier with my Invisalign treatment to correct very uneven teeth. The whole process was straightforward and efficient, and I love my new smile.

Very professional and accommodating even though I was a one-off customer. I booked in for new retainers to be fitted after my old one broke. They were able to fit me in that week due to a cancelled appointment. The staff were friendly and waits were not too long after arrival. The dentist and their staff were great and explained everything and gave me several options and also advised which they would personally choose. I then got an appointment the following week to fit my new retainers and again got given all the advice I might need. Prices were very reasonable too. The appointment was ~£40 and the retainers (including the second fitting appointment) were ~£250 for three sets of upper and lower (this was actually less than a recent upper retainer from my usual NHS dentist, which was £70 for just one upper retainer). Would really recommend.

I received fantastic treatment and care today. I was experiencing pain and I couldn't be seen by my usual dentist. When I rang up the receptionist was very friendly and sympathetic. During the appointment I made it clear I have had bad experiences with dental treatment in the past and Nigel was really calming and cheerful and explained everything clearly. My tooth was fixed professionally and I was kept at ease throughout. I would really recommend this dental practice. My day has been made!

I needed new dentures, Ruby & her assistant were excellent with me and explained everything that would happen over the course of the appointments. I had to go back as I had a sore area & Ruby made the necessary adjustments so that they fit perfectly now. Thank you Ruby & assistant & reception team.
