Shays Farm Campsite

Great little site for a stopover. Large pitches with your own picnic table, really clean toilet and shower block with large shower cubicles with separated changing area. Large enclosed dog field great for the pooches. Friendly warden who brought a litre of milk to my pitch when the shop was closed. Not surprisingly due to location some airplane and road noise but not enough to bother us.

Absolutely lovely location and camp site. Staff and wardens are very welcoming and helpful. Not too far from Chester Liverpool and manchester. Kept really clean and tidy. Small shop onsite.Pitches are large with plenty of room for shelter with wooden bench for sitting on. Train station in hartford got us to Liverpool for the day. Fair play to all the staff involved in keeping it perfect.

A lovely clean and tidy campsite. Staff are very helpful. Good sized pitches with picnic table for each pitch. Showers and toilets are very clean and a good size with plenty of hot water available.

Wow, what a hidden gem! We stayed in the glamping pods for two night. The pods are already set up to use, fitted with fridge, kettle, hob & its own shower and toliet. The pods come with everything including washing up liquid to towels you just need to pack clothes and your toothbrush. The hot tubs have a cover above incase it rains and towels are provided. The first night we visited the local pub for a lovely home cooked style meal. The second night was the campsite halloween party. The team made soup, hot chocolates and hot dogs for the kids all free of charge. There was a quiz with prizes for the winners and competition for the best dress and best dressed caravan/tent. The kids did trick or treating on the caravans & tents, which was something different and fun. The campsite is ran by a lovely family and nothing is too much trouble they are all willing to help.The campsite has a shower block and toliets which are cleaned and checked regularly.We can't wait visit again! Next year we will definitely be going for the halloween weekend.

Having a two nights stay at a glamping pod here and we’re very happy with the excellent facilities! Told that this section of the campsite only opened in March so everything is brand new and so clean. The owners are so friendly and can’t do enough for you. Hot tub is great too! Definitely thinking of coming back in the future! Also only a 5 minute walk from a local pub which we had a lovely meal in.

Really nice campsite, big plots too. Facilities were excellent and clean. Big showers with plenty hot water. Nice to have extra room to change in the cubicle. We have a dog so was great that there was a big field for her to run around in. Would definitely use again. Perfect experience.

We recently stayed in the Glamping Pods at Shay’s Farm, it was our first time but definitely won’t be our last. There are five beautiful pods, spotlessly clean with a modern country feel. Each pod has a hot tub (which was fabulous) patio area and BBQ. It’s clear to see every effort has gone in to making the pod’s cosy with all the essentials aside from food.The area and grounds are well maintained, private and very quiet! The location is good, lovely places to eat nearby, attractions for adults and children.The owners are very welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble.

Owners Lisa and Warden, Sam are so warm, friendly and helpful this definitely made all the difference, lovely people! The other campers were friendly too, sharing items, helping and were lovely to talk too.The site is clean and tidy, each plot spread out, which is great. The facilities are super with the little on site shop, clothes washer, dryer (pay) and fridge freezer (free), pot washing area. The shower block has large wet rooms, toilets and hair dryers and it's all well maintained .My children loved the small play area and the ball field and dog walking field was a lovely bonus..Even though a lot of children were playing, it's definitely not a loud campsite, it's very relaxed.Another added bonus is Doreen the ice-cream lady who comes on a Saturday, even she's lovely giving our dogs ice-cream! Then there's the path leading around the fishing pond to the Shrewsbury Arms pub a short distance away who do food, allow dogs and have an outside area and a few farm animals.I selfishly shouldn't recommend Shays campsite as it books up quite quickly! But it's a fabulous place to stay.
