Haven't stayed, never ever will, not even step foot into the place. Vile owners, would rather sleep in a cold room than a noisy room till 2am!!!! See thru doors to a so called ensuite....no guys its a cupboard....yes Jenna u r doing something wrong....very snooty....2 faced is an under statement...what high standards???? NONE of ur guests can sleep, ur rooms r dated, shower room is a cupboard....am so glad u came last.

Great reception from friendly staff. The rooms were a little dated but clean and very functional. Glass door on the en-suite a bit odd. You need to know your partner very well and be comfortable letting them see you on the throne. What did let it down a little was lack of food or breakfast. Also no one around to take payment. Paid through a link in the end. Fantastic location and to be fair lots of places to eat within easy walking distance. Very good value.

This is by far the worst place I have ever stayed. Got back around 11pm to sleep after travelling all day to find we had to walk through a nightclub entrance and fight our way through a packed dance floor to get to our room. When we were in our room, it was as if we were still in the bar. Imagine sleeping on a dance floor with music blasting. The only thing we could hear over the music was the 100 or so people packed into a tiny beer garden right outside our window. There was absolutely no way of getting any sleep. Music blasting until 2am and you have to check out by 10am. This was the view from our window...

I can imagine if you’re going for some drinks and a good night then you’ll be in the right place, however if you actually want to sleep I would look elsewhere. When we arrived we were greeted by a friendly and welcoming staff member (about the only inviting thing about this place). Once we got to the room we were asked if we knew about the late license, which was no where advertised so obviously totally unknown to us. It was quiet until about 9 which we thought we was great news, then the noise came and was relentless until gone 1am. People shouting, dogs barking and someone initiating the dog barking- trying to get some sleep was impossible until after 1:30am. There was a wet towel left from the previous guest in our room, the kettle was filled with limescale and covered in dust. It would’ve be fine for the price you paid, had it not been for the place pretty much being a night club.

We arrived at the hotel after completing tough mudder to really friendly staff that took us up to our room. The room was lovely and had everything we needed in it. After we had showered we were hungry and asked the staff when food was served which wasn't due for another hour but they opened the kitchen open earlier for us to eat after they saw us sit down with drinks to wait. Such a lovely place which we will hope to stay in again next year.

Lovely Saturday night can hear everything but nice bed room clean. No toilet paper or cups and teaspoon to stir and only 2 little milks I like at least 4 cups of tea in a morning.I would stay again good old style and lovely place maybe 2-3 days next time because where they do meals were fully booked so must be good.

Pros: Rooms were pretty clean, Shower worked fine with good pressure, beds were comfy, towels provided, staff very friendly, priced low Vs others in the area.Cons: noisy on top of a pub/club, especially Friday and Saturday - closes at 1am so there will be loud noise untill then. Toilet flush was weak, the rooms could use a dust in the cupboards & behind the mirror, no shower soap provided.

Ostensibly a pub. Room was fine, although no towels provided even though there is a shower en-suite. Tea and coffee making facilities but no spoon or stirrers provided. No food in the evening so went out, returning at 9pm, to find the whole building locked up. I won’t be staying again.

Cheap room and didn't expect much, however smelly bathroom, drain issue, like stagnant water smells.Breakfast was diabolical. Cereal but no bowls, bread to toast but no plates. Fridge had open margarine tub with toast remnants in. Nobody available on site to address problem.
