Glass Beach
With caves along the seashore and sea glass layer over the beach along with a picturesque location, the glass beach is a pleasant package for a respite or walks.

Went for walk here with disabled wife. Although accessible by ramps very steep so would be quite difficult for elderly or unfit people trying to push wheelchairs. Very scenic though.

Beautiful beach plenty of seaglass to be found. There's a concrete promenade wheelchair friendly although quite steep bank to access. However there's nice views from pavement above and plenty of seating. Can pay a visit to Tommy statue whilst there and there's plenty of places to eat and drink and picnic areas.

Lovely to cool off but have to leave the beach for facilities. Nice clean sand. Great for kids but note that the beach isn't patrolled, so be careful.

Glass Beach
An excellent beach for walking with the added bonus that you may discover some examples of Seaham's world famous sea glass. There's over 100 year's of history washed up on every tide.

Glass Beach
A good length of beach that slopes gently into the sea, therefore quite safe for bathing for children as long as they are supervised.Unfortunately there is no Lifeguard coverage along this beach. At low tide there are also rock outcrops for rock pooling.
