I have been using House of Hound Hydro and Physio for my dog Skye for over a year now. Sadly Skye recently passed away but I can honestly say she loved her hydro and physio sessions with Victoria and Lisa. Skye was an anxious dog with body pain and found new situations overwhelming at times. The patience and care shown by Victoria, her hydrotherapy team and Lisa the physio was second to none. Skye left her therapy sessions much more relaxed and happy and we both reaped the benefits for days after her treatments. I have no hesitation about recommending House of Hound Hydrotherapy for your dog.

Absolutely highly recommend, Pippa has been coming for the pool, treadmill and physio sessions with Lisa for health reasons they were recommended by our vet- Pippa is so happy when we arrive and is always happy to see Louisa or Zoe. Tilly and Daisy have both benefited from swim sessions and as Tilly is getting older the physio appointments with Lisa have really helped. Overall the Staff are so friendly and welcoming and they all understand the needs of all 3 - A big thank you to all the staff.

My dog was treated by Victoria and her team for severe arthritis. She underwent hydrotherapy on the treadmill as she was afraid of water and couldn't swim so the pool was not an option. They were amazing with her and very encouraging as she could be quite stubborn! She also had laser therapy and it seemed to ease her pains considerably. As a reactive dog, they were mindful of how we entered and left the building so she wasn't under any duress coming face to face with other dogs behind closed doors. I couldn't recommend Victoria and her team highly enough. Sadly my dog has now passed away, but her final months were greatly eased by the hydro and laser treatment she received. The knowledge that they possess about animal condition s and how to treat them is fantastic. I wouldn't hesitate to use this service again in the future.

Both my dogs are very active and using house of hounds is beneficial in different ways for them both. Finn swims one of his back legs rather than bending it, through the treadmill the focus is correcting position and improving muscle mass. Ilka takes doggy paddle to a whole new level so the pool is helping her focus on body position to help with more effective swimming, great for her fitness as well.Staff are amazing, very knowledgeable, focus on the individual dog and willing to answer questions and adapt to you dogs needs.Highly recommended.

Excellent, highly recommend. I’ve been taking my 5yr old springer here for over a year now. He has bilateral mod to sev hip dysplasia. He is very anxious, noise sensitive and builds associations quickly (especially bad). The staff spent time talking to me about my worries regarding introducing him to s treadmill prior to his first appointment and talked me through what to expect and how we could adapt for him.Lots of helpful information received by email prior to the appointment, care is taken to make sure that dogs aren’t meeting each other which is great for our anxious and reactive dogs to keep everything running smoothly snd prevent trigger stacking. The first session was a relaxed, desensitising session. They let my dog take his time sniffing the rooms and checked in with me before moving on to the next step. They warned us when noises would start so we could park then with treats. I was amazed at how quickly my dog took the treadmill due to this.My dog is a complex case. The staff have really taken their time to get to know him and his needs and so find the weekly sessions a great way to monitor how he is doing. They’re careful to adapt to his capabilities on the day.A special thanks to Louisa who is very knowledgable and patient. She clearly cares a great deal for her pooch clients! My dog absolutely loves his visits and drags me in to see her. She is always happy to offer advice too.Thank you to all the team!

I took my 11 Yr old lab. For hydrotherapy as she is noticeably getting very stiff on her hind legs. I arrived exactly on time, rang the bell, no answer. Rang the bell again, no answer. We waited in what I can only describe as a scruffy dirty brick outhouse for another few mins. Eventually a lady popped her head round the door and asked us to go stand round the corner, outside, in the pouring rain, whilst another dog left their appointment. We were invited into the building where a young lady took our details and asked questions about Lucy my dog. It was our first appointment so I understood this needed to be done. We then went into the hydro room. I had previously informed twice, the staff that Lucy was a rescue and very nervous. I was asked to get her onto a shower area up a ramp for her feet to be washed down, this was difficult as I am not physically fit at the moment. The girl helped a little but it was mostly left to me which surely knowing the dog was scared, another member of staff would have been a good idea. I eventually managed to get Lucy in position. Then came the treadmill. Absolute nightmare. I struggled continuously for around 10 mins to get her onto it, whilst the girl stood inside the treadmill, eventually I was helped and Lucy reluctantly got onto it. Lucy was frightened. Water came into the treadmill, Lucy not happy which was no fault of the staff member. I was asked to give her some treats and to walk up and down so Lucy might follow me thro the glass. I had to get my own treats for Lucy out of my bag, as staff had none ! The prices charged should I feel warrant a few treats. Lucy calmed down, and the staff member decided that was enough for initial visit. Treadmill was not turned on, which is fair enough, it was thought it was enough for Lucy for first time. That was it. £65 please. I'd like to add that I asked to use the toilet whilst I was there, I have never used such a discusting toilet in my life. it was in a cold damp brick outhouse, filthy, the toilet had excrement in it. Toilet roll spider ridden, absolutely disguisting. I will not be revisiting. I might add that Lucy was not dried with a towel or anything after leaving the treadmill, but left dripping wet to walk to the car in the pouring rain. Not a good experience at all, and very expensive.

We started taking our Border Terrier Archie for treadmill sessions at House of Hound about a year ago to work on strength and build muscle in one of Archie’s hind legs. The facilities are fantastic and all of the staff are patient, friendly, caring and knowledgable. They clearly love all of the dogs they work with and adapt sessions to suit the individual needs of each one. I’m so glad we found Victoria and House of Hound hydro and would recommend them to everyone.

Great place, I've been bringing my dogs here for a few years now for hydro and physio - the team are brilliant. The hydrotherapists are professional, friendly and know all the little quirks each dog has so they can adapt their care as needed.
