I felt it right to comment on our experience with Medway Funeral Directors, and particularly Emma, who made the difficult process of organising things, so close to my wife's passing, as gentle and caring as possible.And on the day, although it was naturally tinged with sadness and emotion, everything went so perfectly well.The Funeral Director's staff were excellent and the Celebrant (of Emma's choosing) was superb in her words and deliveryThere were many tears all around, but, on greeting the guests once outside the service, everyone said how beautiful it was and how we'd really done my wife proud. That was so very comfortingIn summary, Emma and her team did the groundwork to bring it all so successfully together and were key in making the day so special and giving my wife the send off she deserved.

This is without a doubt the best funeral director I have ever dealt with. Emma was so supportive and took into account all factors when helping us to organise a friend's funeral. She made it so easy and stress free. The funeral itself was well conducted, respectful and felt very personal. Her recommendation of the celebrant to conduct was exceptionally good. He put everything into his delivery, heartfelt and out of ordinary. I only wish I had used them and him for my mother's funeral. Highly recommend!

The whole funeral was dealt with professionally and efficiently. Emma is fantastic and such a lovely person. My mother in law insisted we use medway funerals as she was very fond of Emma since my father in laws funeral in 2018. The whole team was lovely from start to finish and would highly recommend your services.

My wife died suddenly in February this year unexpectedly and after almost 45 years of marriage I was devastated. My wife had to undergo a post mortem and my first contact with Emma and her staff was superb . Everything was arranged with compassion , understanding and complete professionalism . Arrangements were carried out with my personal wishes to the letter and were faultless . I cannot praise Emma and her staff too highly .I received many heartfelt comments from family and friends praising how the day was conducted from start to finish . On behalf myself and all attendees , thank you for making the day memorable .

Emma was an absolute rock throughout the process of arranging our Mum’s funeral. Expertise laced with support, compassion and empathy. Mum was well looked after during her time at Medway FD and the funeral itself was delivered with love and care. In such a sad time I couldn’t recommend anyone better than Emma to take care of you through it.

Losing my Mum was the hardest thing I have ever gone through. My brain was not able to function and I did not believe that I would have ever been able to put together a funeral worthy of my Mum’s life. I was keen to not go with a chain company and wanted someone who cared to be the person who looked after my Mum during her final moments before being laid to rest. Having met Emma I knew that she was the ideal person. It was clear immediately that this was not simply a job for Emma and the care she showed me, my mum and my family will mean that I will forever feel in her debt. Emma supported me every day during the times I would go to see my mum and would offer words to comfort. I was very particular about the things I wanted and didn’t want for my mum and her service but there was no request that was to much and Emma ensured that ever wish was carried out. During the entire process Emma made me and my family feel like we were her number 1 priority regardless of how busy she was. Emma’s team were extremely friendly and supportive not only on the day of service but during visits. I could not recommend Emma and her team any more highly.

Excellent service, such a lovely lady is Emma, we used this place 8 years ago for my mums funeral and when I had to do this again for my dads funeral there was no question as to where I would want him to go to, knowing he would be looked after in such safe hands they have nothing but your own interests at heart, very professional, everything is dealt with so promptly and Emma always goes above and beyond. Cannot thank you enough for making a very difficult time that little bit easier.

I wanted to take this opportunity to say so many thanks to you and your team for everything you did for us after Dad's passing.  Obviously with Dad's age we knew that day would come but had no idea what to expect in regards to the funeral.  You made it so seamless for us, you really did - on the actual day I cannot say how beautiful I found the ceremony - thank you doesn't seem enough but that is all I have.Now we have gone through all the ceremony parts of saying good bye its time for us to put ourselves back together, this would have been so much more difficult had we not gone through this experience with you. I am delighted I got in touch with Emma. After being let down by my previous funeral director, I was 3 weeks into my Gt Aunts passing and no funeral to speak of. I spent an entire day calling around different directors and they were all so very robotic, like it was a business and about about my family. I was about to give up for the day but I made myself make one more call, and my faith in humaity was restored. Emma and her team were a breath of fresh air from start to finish. They didn't rush me on the initial call, they were a delight when we went to their office to do the paperwork and Emma was amazing on the day of the service. Yes they are a business but they really cared about giving us the best send off for our loved one as well. So thank you Emma and the team, you really were my funeral angels.

Every aspect of our experience with Medway Funeral Directors was extremely positive. From the initial first contact, right through to collecting our Dads ashes. Nothing was too much trouble, and every aspect was taken care of with complete compassion and understanding. Which helps ease the organisation of what is a completely emotional day.I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Emma and the rest of the team.
