I absolutely would not recommend this company who I used to ship our house contents from the UK to Australia. Communication became poor very early on (once Id paid them) with emails not being answered, needing to be chased up and partial and/or unhelpful replies. They also gave out of date contact details for me to the Australian company they'd contracted to deliver our shipment, causing unnecessary delay. When our shipment arrived it was clear that it had been packed extremely carelessly resulting in a lot of easily avoidable damage. Lots of our furniture was damaged. Many delicate items had been put into boxes unwrapped and/or placed at the bottom of boxes with heavy items on top. Some mounted artwork had been badly damaged when the packer had clearly deliberately bent the tops over to cram it into a box that was clearly to small for it. Some boxes were crammed full and others were nearly empty. One large double sized box (1m x.45m x.45m) arrived with a single cushion in it. Given what they charge per cubic meter this too was extremely annoying. My complaint was dealt with very poorly too.

Pickford's have moved me and my family 10 times all over the World with great success. Last year they moved me to another site in Bournemouth and did bad damage to my dining table top glass and one wooden end. The two removal men could not agree as to whether my table would need taking apart or not. My table was dragged 3 times over the metal divide in my carpets causing bad damage, The clown who was sent to repair just painted some liquid like honey on the surface. Quote 3 french polishers itb would never dry and needs proper attention. I had insurance but so far I am being led on a dance. My next option is to go to court.
