Terrible experience!We had a good experience with this company up until the moment we paid to instruct them and then it went downhill from there.Homeward Legal pairs you with a law firm to carry out your legal work - you do not have any say in which firm this is.We had awful issues with the law firm we were allocated so we had to cancel with them (nothing had been progressed on our case 2 months into the matter).Homeward Legal assured me on various occasions that they would get the law firm to contact me but this never happened.Homeward Legal also assured me that they would get someone from their customer service team to contact me but again this never happened. I definitely would not recommend.

We used Homeward Legal to find our conveyancing solicitors as first time buyers. They were very knowledgeable about the Conveyancing process and were very efficient and friendly. Would definitely reccomend. Our new home is perfect for out little family.

Avoid. I used this firm to instruct a Solicitor to handle my transfer of equity request between my ex partner and I back in January 2021. They put me in touch with Marshall Hall Levy, a firm the other side of the country to where I live, and they failed to complete my work despite me giving them 18 months to do so. The delay caused me to suffer much emotional and financial distress as I was unable to secure a new mortgage until my ex partner was removed from the deeds. Long story short I was rewarded compensation from the legal ombudsman service on all accounts of claimed negligence against the firm for my distress. Homeward Legal did not support me along the journey and they have ignored all of my requests for a refund despite the instructed firm failing to complete the work. Do not use this company, get a local solicitor to save you the hassle. The local solicitor I used got the transfer of equity completed within 4 weeks of instruction for comparison. Homeward Legal, you owe me an apology AND a refund.

As a first time buyer, I assumed that I needed someone like Homeward Legal to help guide me through the purchase process.My biggest piece of advice to anyone in the same boat, is DO NOT use Homeward Legal, or any other similar business.Do yourself a huge favour and just use google maps to find a local solicitor, read some reviews and contact them directly. Residential solicitors are experts in their field and know far more than Homeward Legal when it comes to the house buying process.Do the same for a surveyor if you're getting one done and you're good to go.The solicitor that Homeward Legal delegated to our case was located over 100 miles away and it quickly became apparent that they were totally useless, but by that point it was too late.Fast forward 4 months (and a whole lot of stress), on the day of exchange the solicitor called to say they were going into administration and would no longer be able to help.Thankfully they refunded our deposit that they were holding in preparation for the exchange, but deducted the cost of the searches fees (which we had already paid to Homeward Legal).They then disappeared never to be heard from again.I contacted Homeward Legal who weren't interested whatsoever and washed their hands of the whole thing pretty quickly. So that money has been lost and as far as I am concerned Homeward Legal are responsible.Just do your own due diligence and appoint a local solicitor. You don't need Homeward Legal and I assure you, it will be the best decision you make.

As first-time buyers, Homeward Legal has been great in supporting us and informing us about the ins and outs of conveyancing before providing our solicitors. They take all your details and information down to ensure the solicitors chosen are suitable for your mortgage and property. It's a great service with clear quotes and there is no fee should the purchase fall through. Josh is super friendly and answers all my questions whenever I need. Highly recommend them - we will definitely be using them if we move on in the future!

If Homeward legal try to forward you on to a company called PMPL DO NOT use them. The price will look good, the service is far from it. In fairness to Homeward Legal, their customer service has been excellent but the companies they use are questionable. The first we used were Davies and Mcgraph who were slow and lacked replies so we asked to switch which was probably the worst decision I've ever made. PMPL took nearly a year on a 6 week conveyancing change of parties. We finally gave up and are now using a local conveyancer who has completed within 6 weeks. Wish I paid the extra in the first place. I repeat, do not be drawn in by the costs as you will get what you pay for and please, for your sake, check the actual company reviews first!

Avoid, unless you have all the time in the world. They happily took payment for searches in November. When my solicitor eventually got in touch with me at the end of February, I was advised no searches had been requested. Essentially, 3 months lost on the buying process where nothing had been carried out. I tried to speak to customer services, they advised me they would escalate this and call me back within 2 working days. 2 months later and I have still not had a call back from them. I have not followed this up as I have since had emails from my appointed solicitor, but not great customer service.I am now 2 months away from my mortgage offer expiring and I have no idea if this will be completed on time! 5 months into the process for an easy sale. Go straight to a local solicitor. Pay a little more for peace of mind.

Homeward Legal themselves were easy to work with. We went with them on the basis that they had good reviews - however, it is not clear that you are then passed over to another solicitors to actually complete the conveyancing work.The solicitors that we were passed on to were AWFUL. We didn't have a choice in who it was allocated to and the whole process of selling/buying a house was a complete shambles from that moment.

This company seemed impressive on my initial phone calls... but once instructed, outsourced the work to PM Law - who are just terrible and I would never have instructed in a million years! Can never get hold of PM Law on the phone and now Homeward legal say don't blame us

Please don't ignore the negative reviews. My partner and I decided to give this company a chances and it was the worst decision we made. Our initial rep Charles won us over promising that he's different and takes the time to ensure we're matched with the best solicitor. All a lie and a sales tactic!!! Just avoid this company and go directly to a decent solicitor. We even raised complaints, which were just ignored.
