The days spent in this guest house were almost the better ones in our holiday in Scotland. The owner were very kind and polite and the house is so beautiful! We paid by Visa by a card reader linked to a smartphone app: I didn't know this system. Wonderful! We advice this guest house, definetly!!!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Garlands Guest House for two weeks with a break of a week in between, to visit Paris. The hosts of this lovely establishment Bill and Ian, could not have been more accommodating. The building itself is strikingly Georgian in era, is tastefully decorated, yet welcoming and comfortable. I found my bedroom, with a window view of the garden, coming into bloom, to be cozy, with a most comfortable bed and pillow cases. What I enjoyed the most was the large spacious ensuite with up to date amenities. The breakfast items offered in the beautiful dining room were plentiful and the sunny ambiance of the room got me off a great start of the day for sightseeing in Edinburgh. The hosts had an excellent knowledge of this historic city and all my questions of not to miss attractions were answered. I highly recommend this venue as an outstanding place to stay while in Edinburgh!
