Great St Helen Hotel

Charming hotel and staff. I was happy to support this tiny little hotel (18 rooms) among all highrise buildings. They try hard. But having said that, if you are in London for business, this is not the place if you need room to work. The rooms are more like pods, incredibly tiny. I’m 5’4” and anyone taller would have a very difficult time, it seems. So this hotel is good for those with little luggage and in London for fun. Great location and lots of food around, as no breakfast is provided.

I stayed there for 1 night only, and I felt a bit happy it was only one, as the room was really small, if not smallest I have ever stayed. The decent price for London conditions, and surely the central location though are the advantage when you chose it, staff was nice and friendly. Recommended for short stays in London.

Service is great, bathroom is lovely however the room is so tiny with no closet, and the bed is small and not comfortableCould be fine for one person, very bad for a couple!

What a super little find. A nice quiet hotel in the centre of London. Clean, tidy room, one which suits my needs. Would definitely stay again.

Great compact room ideal for us after attending a late night event nearby. It was admittedly cramped for a couple but well designed with everything you would expect - shower, ac, tea and coffee, wifi, tv, etc.Night porter was very friendly and helpful when we arrived. Recommended.

Old but refurbished, relatively clean, really small rooms. Noise at night is not bad, but 6am trash recollection is noticeable.Lost an earplug, moved the bed and found the legendary lost TV remote!

what is this, a hotel for ants?I would not advise staying here if you have more than a backpack or if you are with more than one person. The rooms were so small that we could not move around with our luggage and there was no room for storage.In addition, the hotel is exceptionally hot. Outside in London, it was 17C. Inside, it was 33C. The air conditioner is locked and resets every 180 minutes so good luck trying to keep the room cool during the summer.I will not be back. Unprofessional customer service, limited amenities and the tiny room were negatives that far outweighed the positives (location). Pricing was not much lower than other nearby hotels.

This wasn’t a very nice hotel. Strange stains on the walls, uncomfortable bedding, no functioning air con, and very loud. The location was nice and the bed sheets seemed clean.

Small room but we didn’t miss anything there. Coffee, tea and water in the room. Clean rooms. Safe, AC and super nice staff. The young guy in the reception was super kind, friendly and helpful. Absolutely sufficient for 2 nights even if it’s really small rooms. It’s located nearby underground stations (Liverpool Street) and bus stations, stores and groceries as well.
