Got my spinx cat from there staff so helpful they do such a good job best thing I did was rescue a cat

I've had a really disappointing and frustrating experience with Wood Green.Our next-door neighbour adopted a dog from Wood Green in April this year. Ever since, we have been plagued with excessive loud barking from the dog. We called Wood Green out of concern for the dog, our own wellbeing and that this barking was causing distress to our puppy and the exact response we received was we cannot do anything unless the owner approaches us directly". There is NO aftercare when dogs get adopted and the workers at Wood Green clearly do not care about the impact they're having sending unsocialised dogs into the world.Just for reference

We are fostering for wood green so the experience is lovely, my sister in law rehomed a little dog and she said the staff are very helpful and friendly. The experience was lovely.

Found the love of my life at Wood Green. From start to finish the fostering then adoption process was swift and hassle free. The guys that work here are truly amazing. They took care in making sure the right dog matched our family. We now have a beautiful new family member who has been loving life since arriving at the start of the year.

I can't express my gratitude enough to Wood Green for their incredible re-homing for my pet hamster. Their dedication and compassion throughout the process were truly remarkable. My little friend is now in a happy and caring environment, all thanks to their efforts. I can't thank them enough for their wonderful work.

I have just signed up to WoodGreen and I was told I will receive a welcome pack with a picture of my dog. Her name is Kira, beautiful dog she is, in the letter it states - Who's in your dog pen - Kira, she was bought online and then given up. Also states they have enclosed a picture of her, she looks lovely.I wanted her age, birthday and where she is located so I can send her a doggy hamper gift. Then when woodgreen contact me back about it, she is an example dog..... The dog they clearly told me was MINE never was, she is an example. I was told I would receive all information on MY DOG but they sent me details on an EXAMPLE DOG as my own. I am truly truly hurt and disgusted by the fact that I was actually making a difference.SIGN UP TO A REAL CHARITY AND MAKE SURE YOU LOOK INTO IT FIRST.After I called them out about this scam, I love how nobody bothered to contact me.....

This relates to the charity donation aspect of Woodgreen.On Monday 1st May I arrived with a car full of toys, small items of furniture, ornaments, and other brick-a-brack as we were having a clear out.The staff member at Wood Green rudely and brusquely told me she would not accept anything without looking through it first. She then proceeded to rummage through the assorted bags in my car saying “yes”, “no”, “no we don’t want that”, “no, how do you expect us to sell that?!”, “yes”, “no”. I was then left with half full bags of stuff I still didn’t want and detritus everywhere in the car following their rummaging. I was amazed by this manner and lack of gratitude. Did the staff member understand I was literally giving them these items?From now on all our charity donations will absolutely be going elsewhere.

I was unfortunately rehoming my dog due to long hours of working. Woodgreen and I had been going back and forth with conversations about my dog and her behaviours, likes and dislikes, what causes reactivity. A few weeks later, Bonnie was confirmed she had an intake appointment in 3 months time. We arrived at exactly the right time and was asked to wait around, already causing my dog to become nervous. Then a male member of staff came (one of my dogs nervous reactors) and said we need to fill out some more paperwork and started to take us to another room. My dog has always done the same thing of lunging and barking, never bitten but according to the manager she supposedly bit the man even though I had control of her.. my dog was then refused admission and now because of this charity’s naivety and inability to listen to the needs of my dog, I will probably now have to put her down. So thank you. The worst communication, awful time management, and clearly does not listen to the needs of animals.

Brilliant advice and helpful when we found 4 ferral kittens. They were brilliant and we only looked after them a couple of days before they collected to take to a foster parent

Omg what can I say, this place and the people who dedicate there love to animals is amazing. I didn't realize it would be so big, we arrived late so didn't get time to look around but have already planned to come back. There are gift shops which have great items and help support the animals. My daughter donated a large amount of rat items and the staff were so incredibly thankful. To all the staff, you do an amazing job. Well done.
