CMA Karate is the perfect place to get started. I felt as if I was starting too late at the age of 19, but quickly realised that wasnt the case. From my first lesson here I knew this was for me. They made me feel like part of a family and would highly reccomend this club to anyone of any age group!

My son and I started training with CMA Karate during the first lockdown in 2020. All the Senseis have been wonderful during the pandemic, going over and beyond their duties to look after their students. They all now continue to inspire us, sharing their extensive knowledge, teaching every aspect of karate; from physical training to deeper values such as respect, harmony in body and mind, honour, determination, focus, confidence and plenty more. As a parent, I couldn't be more grateful to all the Senseis as I'm seeing my son growing and developing these values, which I hope he'll treasure for life. As an adult student of Wado Ryu Karate, this wonderful art completes my other physical and spiritual practices perfectly. CMA Karate really are like a big extended family, and we are both very proud to be part of it.

Sensei Sarah and all the other senseis are simply amazing. My daughter has had a number of coaches over the years, across various sports, and she is a good judge of character and professionalism. She rates all the senseis very highly and trusts their coaching. She has thrived in the environment provided by CMA and loves going to every single session, with the gradings giving her a positive incentive to improve. I would highly recommend the club!

Our Daughter, Bryony, has been with CMA for 8 years and ever since her first taster session, she fell in love with her sport. She’s now 13 years old and has recently achieved the status of her first Dan (Black belt) which very quickly became her original goal. Every single one of the wonderful Sensei’s puts so much into every student’s learning journey. They all have such amazing values of hard work, dedication and respect that have impressed us as parents from the very moment we met them. We strongly believe that karate should be a part of the curriculum as it’s adding so many life skills and virtue’s as well as self-defence and confidence. We want to thank you all for everything you’ve done for Bryony and for being such a positive part of her life, she genuinely loves training and the amazing people she’s met through karate.CMA is VERY Highly recommended by us. 10/10.

After many years of wanting to start training in martial arts, I finally took the plunge and went for it. And I'm so glad that I did. One of the biggest concerns when jumping into something new is what the actual school will be like. This concern was quickly put to rest as soon as I took my first trial lesson. I just love it here! The instructors and my fellow students are all just wonderful people, I really feel like part of a big family at CMA. As well as all of this, I find the training exemplary; the Senseis have a clear and effective way of teaching, and I am thoroughly enjoying learning and moving through the grades. So to anyone who wants to begin Karate in an environment that is friendly, supportive and effective, CMA comes highly recommended!

My son has been at CMA now for two years and absolutely loving it! He has progressed really well under the instruction of Sarah who is an excellent tutor, and who my son really respects. CMA has regular courses in addition lots of weekly sessions in both Kent and Sussex. These, together with the gradings are very professionally managed and conducted. Would highly recommend 5*s!

Our family ( two children age 14 and 11, my husband and I) are a part of CMA club for nearly 9 years and couldn't recommend it enough. Regardless if you are looking for children or adult classes, the club accommodates all levels and ages. All senseis teach to the highest standard of Wadu ryu, following the etiquette of traditional karate and focusing on the personal development of each student individually. Once you become a part of the club , you become a part of the family where everyone is respected, motivated and encouraged. If you want to fall in love with the art of karate, CMA Karate is a club for you.

The club may or may not be a decent Karate school but the sensei 'Sarah Padget' has absolutely no idea how to instruct or look after children. Having had 3 run-ins with the sensei and speaking to my child at length about it , we decided to pull out.She is extremely unreasonable and her handling of children is appalling, my child was left in a state of distress on these 3 occasions, which is unacceptable.Speaking to other parents I found out they've had similar experiences.I would not recommend this karate school.
