Beautiful place for a family walk. Feels away from the hustle and bustle of life. If your dog phobic then it seems to have less dog walkers there at night

Great little walk, takes around 18 minutes to walk a full loop. Not overly crowded and plenty of benches to sit on and relax

Great place to get walk bare foot and get grounded, and still a great place. Yep still ad good as ever. Just setting camp fired if you aint going ro be responsible and tidy up after yaselfs

Nice little area for a short walk and good for dogs. It is a small wood though. Great place to get out and enjoy nature. Wellies or boots advised as it can get pretty muddy.

A haven for wildlife & ideal for quiet Meanders and contemplation. Central to Ormskirk, adjacent to Edge Hill University's campus and can be accessed by car or on foot via Vicarage Lane or Ruff Lane, both of which surround the west side of the site.The wood covers 19 acres of mixed woodland with a circular path and many link routes around the wood.We visit quite often and is a place loved by the Grandchildren.Lots to see, including the remains of the Red Sandstone Quarries and a number of wooden carved sculptures.Used by lots of Dog Walkers.

Great little woods with loads of wooden animal sculptures hidden around. Great to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon.

It is fine for a short walk and is popular with dig walkers. It has a quarry in the middle so care needs to taken in wet weather if looking down from the top
