Apple Braehead

Visited this store on Friday 27 October with my wife who had a problem with her iPhone.We were met by Apple Associate ScottAfter explaining the problem he was so kind and helpful and after a short time he was able to resolve the problem.My wife and I are senior citizens and not tech savvy,Scott was very patient with us and made our trip to the store a positive. Worst experience ever at Braehead store, had to book a session to buy an ipad then after having waited 30 mins then told I had to wait another 20 mins by the girl at the store because I didn’t grab a member of the staff to let them know I was Waiting there all this time, so I didn’t t bother to wait and just bought it online…what a shamble Apple has became!

It was the day of the new iPhone release. They were incredibly organised and helpful. Time slots were given which kept the queue down. Good overall experience

Awful experience at the Genius Bar today. After ascertaining and agreeing to a repair that was required for a 6 month old iPhone, genius employee advised the phone would need to be reset to factory settings which was no problem as phone was backed up. Then after resetting the phone to factory settings I’m then told the 6 month old phone is out of warranty and there’s nothing we can do to help you, you’ll need to phone Apple Customer Service for advice. Hello I’m standing in an Apple Store with an Apple phone that’s in warranty and requiring a repair talking to an Apple Genius - help me!! No can do was the reply so I quickly left, of course angry and upset to sit in the middle of a shopping mall setting phone back up to then phone Apple - the mind boggles as to why an Apple employee couldn’t support an Apple customer in an Apple Store with an Apple product bought directly from Apple???

Staff are extremely helpful and pleasant.Not a bad word to say!

Went to the so-called 'GENIUS' desk with a broken 2 month old macbook Pro 2023, which stopped charging and is only 2 months old. Was firstly told if he couldn't fix it today, it would take 5-7 days to repair. Under consumer law, if there is a defect within 6 months, it should be assumed it's a manufacturer defect and should be a replacement. Then the 'technician' mentioned water damage (coincidentally, the person next to us was getting told the same about their macbook!!!!). He came back with the machine open and there was a white mark that may be liquid, however very little and went on to tell us that it could cost over £1300 to fix and not very pleasant (almost gloating when telling us this). It's ridiculous that we have no recollection of any liquid being spilt near this, so we can only think that the laptop has maybe been sat on a wet worktop or something. The technician went on to compare the damage to going through a flood in a car (submerging in water) where the manufacturer would not be responsible. The macbook was definitely not submerged in a puddle!!! Anyway, unsatisfactory service and would NEVER recommend anyone to buy from Apple, and definitely not from this store.

Returned my iPhone to the genius bar. It needed to be sent away, so I received a “loner”. Received a call 5 days later and picked it up the following day. Excellent support, very helpful and very friendly.

Very busy with painfully attentive staff who are ridiculously happy to assist you. All kidding aside, got the phone I was after and was on my merry way fairly promptly.
