Very bad company to deal with. Had a transom shield assembly sent to me after forking out £1350 for it, after it arrived I discovered it was seized and the water inlet seal wash mashed. Spoke to the owner and sent it back, this was back in September 2021 and after several phone calls and emails I am sent waiting for my refund. I feel this will have to be settled in the courts.

Bought 2 cummins 425HP of Sam a few years ago, he part exchanged Volvo TAMD 71s and supplies 12 degree gearboxes that have gave new life to our Princess.Highly recommended more like 10 starts.

Excellent service Always kept in contact Gave a ball park figure for the work with caveats - final bill not much higher than the quote!!. Had been quoted 3 times what he charged to re-build my destroyed engine. He sourced parts from far and wide to save money. I was sent a video of the engine working once re-built. Highly recommend, charming to deal with at any time of day and extremely helpful. Paid in instalments as work progressed but only finished payment when job completed. Very few people will trust you to that extent.

Do not hand over any money to Sam! He'll take £7000 for a reconditioned engine and give you an old heap with a gallon of paint poured over it so it's all the same colour and the engine numbers ground off! He'll also promise to sell a pallet of spares for you and come up with all the excuses under the sun why they haven't sold leaving you £3500 out of pocket!

Spent £2500 on a Mariner Big foot form 'Sam' which has been a terrible decision. Alarm bells should have rang when I paid into a private account. The engine arrived quickly but would not start, faulty starter also key barrel for remote missing. Once sorted I was immediately aware of a loud tapping noise from the engine which was not normal, my local engineer reported that most likely the engine bearings were badly worn. After 5 hours of use I checked the gearbox oil which smelt awful and full of water. There is no way this would not have been detected before it was sold if he had inspected the engine as he promised. Sam diagnosed a faulty gearbox which was causing the tapping noise and organised the gearbox to be collected. Unfortunately the bolts holding the gearbox were seized solid. After a long delay the engine came back with a replacement gearbox but the tapping noise continued, after a further 15 hours the gearbox oil was full of water again. I asked Sam to buy the engine back which he rejected and has refused to assist any further, following that the engine lost all power at sea and was recovered by the RNLI. My local engineer reported that the engine has not been mixing 2 stroke properly and to expect severe internal damage as well as issue with a gearbox. Currently looks like cost of repair is more than engine is worth. ive used it less than 24 hours. Sam is a very good sales man and will tell you everything you want to hear but please be cautious as the engine has been nothing but a huge stress and disappointment. Also worth doing some further googling of the company as there are plenty of customers with similar stories online.

I needed parts and information about an 80s jet drive so got talking to Sam. He was able to get me parts , reconditioned an existing part and give me information. This man worked at these things in the 80s so good call.

I went to their workshop to purchase 2 large engines and prior to going there he agreed a price and was helpful on the phone. Yet when i got there with a deposit in my pocket. . He said i wasn't there to buy any engines? What an odd thing to say when i travelled 100 miles to him. I was there for about 1 hour yet he gave me no more than 5 minutes and never told me the prices of the 2 other engines which was a second option.My marine engineer told me the engines looked rough and that was just off a photo.He called it a 2 litre rebuild . . 2 litres of paint!Anyway not a good visit for me. I'll buy elsewhere.

PLEASE READ AND MAKE YOUR OWN MIND UP. I paid £3500 in cash for a Yamaha 60HP engine. Sam could not get hold of a remote and said that he would put a Suzuki on as a temporary measure. This Suzuki is still on my boat after he promised to change the engine for the one I purchased . I even have a serial number for the engine that I purchased .The Suzuki is a 2007 and when I took the boat to a Suzuki engine dealer he said that it was worth 1900 at best ! Not only did he take 3500 pounds but when the boat was put into water it would not go on plane! He made some modifications to a trailer - and a battery housing and wanted another 3000 pounds - not even worth 300 pounds. I can assure you that this will be going legal as this company are unethical and dishonest. I have a little boy and the risk of taking out the Suzuki engine which I have subsequently found out to have done over 2500 miles is appalling !BUYER BEWARE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They have lied all the way through my dealings with them And put my family at risk.I look forward to taking them to court I have messages saying he will sort and he has never given me a date to get my engine put on (the one I purchased)

I have bought outboards from Sam . I can only say good words about him and his team . I only ever had one problem and they fixed that while I waited . They fitted an engine to a rib and even tested it out before they gave it to me .

This business" rips people off and provides very bad products and even worse service. After making an agreement and sending the money
