If you have some money to spare and can't be bothered to bend down and put in the drain. Get a Chinese meal from new red cap, it's so much easier and more fun to put straight in wheelie bin. Absolutely horrendous would advice to stay away.

Been ordering form here for many years, and everything has always been absolutely top notch. Crispy smoking chicken is just beautiful and the curry is nice and thick only criticism is that the curry would be even better if they added a little more veggies but that’s just a personal preference, the portion size is also great and prices are reasonable, Receptionist is an absolute delight to talk to.

Uodate: Currently (Oct 2019) New Red Cap only accepts cash payments, cannot take cards, and is no longer listed on online services. Still great food!New Red Cap (Stapleford!) provides some really good food at decent prices. You can find cheaper take aways but they won’t be as good, and there’s always a friendly face behind the desk when you collect your order. Good sized portions make it worth the price, and show it’s true the eye if often bigger than the stomach.

Absolutely awful Chinese restaurant! Avoid at all cost. Spent £30 on food, on the recommendation of a friend, but left totally dissatisfied. Everything in the starter was overcooked, it was like chewing rubber. The house special curry tasted of flour and salt, the second worse I’ve ever eaten in my life! The honey and chilli duck was hideous, I’ve never had duck that bad. If I could give half a star, I would, as I think one whole star is too generous.

Worst ever! Over cooked and dry on the outside but raw in the middle, watery satay sauce. The sticky over cooked, tasteless rice- how can they get it so wrong? Meal for two £30 in the bin! This is my 1st review I’ve done because I feel so strongly about such poor food!

Excellent food so nice and delicious well cooked just right , service was great said an hour to hour and half wait came within 45mins , delivery guy was great polite brought rite to door 2 story flats with a smile , well worth the money and great service ...

Very disappoint! I’ve been a regular customer and never had a problem but today the chicken balls were raw. It put me off my food and made me feel ill. They gave me new ones but no offer of a refund or money off next time. When I showed the manger the picture he said it was “so so” but they were clearly pink

Went Boxing Day because everywhere else was shut, beef chow mein overcooked/slimy, not much meat, no egg in egg fried rice. Won’t be going back

Fantastic Chinese would definitely recommend. Had the happy meal which is brilliant value for money and the food was gorgeous, nice and hot and cooked to perfection. The best Chinese I have ever ordered from thankyou new red cap.
