Crabbick View Campsite

This place will be amazing. Spent the weekend here with our VW group before attending a show in Southsea today. We wanted for nothing, any little niggles were sorted before we had even realised. Owner is very fair and really helpful. The communal fire pit is a great idea and the cottage next door sell firewood so has everything you need for a great stay. We will be booking up a couple more stays here before the year is out!

Called to say big group coming, 7 tents and a caravan, told no problem, call day before, we did, was told showers were not working, still wanted to give it a go as only 3 nights. Pitched up as told to when we called for gate code when we had arrived, owner turned up when we all set up to tell us it was £20 for tents, £30 for caravan, £5 for car and £20 for event shelter a night! This was not mentioned on any call to him and it was not on the facebook page, he has added the price of car now, have never been to a site that charges you for your car, extra cars yes. We were going to stay for a night and find somewhere else to move on to but too late for a big group, so we were stuck, he did knock a little off whole price, we decided to make best of it. Field was lovely and fire pits good idea, toilets had no proper lights, just solar lights that kept going off, 1 womans toilet, 2 mens and urinals which were clean but not kept topped up with toilet roll, nothing to dry hands on. A ram was in the field! Is that allowed!? No shelter, water was disgusting, kids playing on field with his poop everywhere, and had to avoid it when putting tents up, he escaped under fence into road one morning and guy from our group followed it up road so it didn't get hurt, was gone nearly an hour before losing it, no thanks at all and was suggested gate was left open! You can see the wool stuck to the fence he went through! Owner was not welcoming and appeared to have a problem with us from the start when we questioned prices, told us you wouldn't get this price with what is there anywhere! Yes mate, you can and we have! Had high hopes of a nice little site, but will not be going back.

We were with the group above, other campers we spoke to were also not aware of the £5 a night car fee, we will definitely not be returning that ram was a bit worrying with the kiddies about and owner not very friendly after we queried the price for car and caravan as was not mentioned on website or when my daughter phoned

me and my partner stayed in our camper van, visiting Portsmouth for a few nights, it was an ideal location,lovely and quiet, clean toilets/showers! Owner was lovely and very welcoming

Stayed here for a few nights whilst we was on a fishing trip at Lee-on-Solent.Basic site with all your needs, worked spot on for us. Well worth £25 for my tent and car per night.We'll definitely be returning.

Stayed with my family on weekend, advertised £20 a pitch, then when we got there said we had to pay a extra fiver for each car and 30 for our caravan we had, so that bumped up the price drastically,no toilet roll supplied in toilets, showers not working, light in ladies toilet not working ,and to top it off the was a ram in the field that kept chasing and scaring the kids ,not a pleasant weekend, very disappointing, won't recommend this site and definitely won't be going back

A lovely place for an overnight stop, with everything you could want: friendly & quiet neighbours, clean facilities and a nice flat pitch. Picnic area with fire pit looked great too.The ‘natural lawnmower’ (read: ram) was a great addition. He didn’t bother anyone, and we enjoyed watching him amble around slowly minding his own business.Jamie was great too - accommodating our last minute arrival and popping by to say hello.Overall a great campsite, I’ll be back if I’m ever in the area again.

Absolutely loved it here the weekend nice clean facilities. A pet friendly place. Will be recommending to family and friends
