I have had a really disheartening experience with COPART NEWBURY. I bought a car of them in august and I was not able to pick up the car due to a close relative suddenly passing away. I phoned up and explained my situation to JULIE MORTIMER and she asked me to send proof over regarding the death.We both agreed that if I send over the messages from the family what’s app group then these would be sufficient and that they would wave the fees as I genuinely had a lot going on at home sorting out the funeral arrangements and looking after my little cousins as it was their father who had died unexpectedly. I sent over the death announcement what’s app messages even though I thought this was a bit out of the ordinary but I understood that they probably got a lot of people who made excuses so nonetheless I sent them over.I then spoke to JULIE MORTIMER over the phone and she then said she wanted me to send over the death certificate which detailed my uncles death. This left me feeling distraught, helpless, angry and completely heart broken as there was no way I was sending over my uncles death certificate to a random woman called JULIE MORTIMER simply because she worked for Copart as an office supervisor. This was completely invading my family’s privacy just because I asked if the fees could be waved because I was unable to pick up a vehicle due to a death in the family.I cannot believe that during the difficulty we were facing as a family this JULIE MORTIMER asked me to send a death certificate to her which contained sensitive information surrounding my uncles death. JULIE MORTIMER has described herself as a highly experienced customer service representative in the automotive industry with a diploma in city guilds on her linked in but I beg to differ!! This was an absolute horrible experience for me and I just ended up paying the £826 in fees instead!! As if I was going to send over a death certificate!! What a complete and utter barbaric request!! I will not ever be buying a car from COPART ever again and I advise you the public please be very very wary of COPART and STAY AWAY IF YOU CAN!! The complaints team are a joke too!! Only replied to my claim when I picked up the vehicle and told me they couldn’t do anything!!! They’ll probably reply with a lame excuse to this email but it’s totally unacceptable the way I have been treated!! I wouldn’t buy anything from these lot ever again!!On the day of the collection I was running late and I was basically told to speed up the collection which wasn’t very ‘professional’ of the staff at Newbury.I only wish whatever I have been put through goes around and effects them in the exact same way too!!

A decent Copart for a change, easy access to get to, and usually very quick to get your vehicle and get it loaded.I've never waited more than 15 minutes.A pity then that Copart Bristol and a few others can't be so efficient.

Absolutely disgusting company with absolutely no empathy. We were due to collect a vehicle from there sandy branch between 3pm and 4pm. Due to traffic delays as it was Thursday before Easter we were going to be 20 minutes late. I called to explain the situation and spoke to Hannah who advised me that as long as we arrived before 4.30pm we could still collect the vehicle. We arrived at 4.25pm to be told we could not get the vehicle. Driver had battled traffic for 3 hours to get there and we had done everything we could to make them aware. What a absolute joke of a company and I will be taking this further

*APPAULING***Do not allow your insurance company to use Copart**We had written confirmation that Copart would return our car today.Once it reached mid morning and we had not heard from them, my wife called the Newbury office. She was told that they have changed the areas they deliver to, so they would not be keeping their commitment.Several frustrating calls between them and our insurance company have resulted in Copart continuing to keep our car.Against our nature, we opened an official complaint. We were told they'd email asap. It's after 9pm now and that has not happened. Of course it hasn't... It seems the team there have either not received necessary training or do not get support from whatever 'management' the company has.We are considering involving the police, as we feel this may constitute theft according to The Theft Act 1968:(4)Where a person gets property by another’s mistake

There is a large and convenient entry and exit site. They quickly organized the removal and loading of the car onto the trailer. I especially want to mention the loader driver who does his job very professionally. But when you choose a car at an auction, the photo and description always differ from your expectations. Unfortunately, Copart does not provide the necessary information for making the right decision and a more accurate calculation for the repair of the vehicle you are buying. I would say more that, on the contrary, they make blurry and low-quality photos specifically so that you can see less. Therefore, you should understand that you are buying a cat in a bag!

Been there 2 times with booking system (through driver app) but had to wait more than 1h to get the car out, if you're going there wait 10-15 minutes and talk to there office otherwise folk lifts drivers they don't care how long you wait..... Good luck... Guys
