I visited Newlands House yesterday, with a friend, to see the Miro exhibition. Really great exhibition and an onsitecafe

This is a great space for displaying art. We had the galllery to ourselves. There's a courtyard cafe by the entrance and a large public carpark. I enjoyed my visit.

A real gem in Petworth. We went to see the wonderful Eve Arnold exhibition, what a woman! Intimate gallery with some very interesting exhibitions. All round friendly and warm experience with a great exhibition. I hope you manage to get a shuttle bus from Pulborough station arranged as buses work on a timetable all of their own. Hard to encourage people to ditch the car! Lovely place, nice cafe visit if you can.

Lee Miller & Picasso - fascinating collection of intimate photographs by Miller of her friend Picasso. Excellent gallery space in a Georgian townhouse with a great cafe serving a good cappucino! Great service from the sales team who mailed my (beautifully wrapped) prints.

We stumbled across this gallery in the beautiful and picturesque market town of Petworth a few months after it had opened. Occupying an 18th century townhouse with 12 rooms spread over 7,500 sq. ft. the gallery has staged some impressive and world-class exhibitions with an emphasis on well known artists of the 20th century. We enjoyed the peacefulness of this space and the unusual luxury of seeing world class art without having to queue or stand on tip toes as we so often do in London, Paris or New York. The second time we visited they had changed their policy on dogs and opened up a lovely cafe serving drinks and nibbles. The setting really encourages contemplation, which we appreciated.

Beautiful buildingAdjacenct to main car park but separate behind a wall with own garden. Brilliant exhibition of photography by Lee Miller ( friend of Picasso) . Very helpful staff. Outside a super coffee shop + lunchtime hot food.
