Seafarer Cruising & Sailing Holidays

Our first flotilla holiday and very glad we chose Seafarer for a trip to Croatia.We spent the first week going north to Skradin and the second around islands of Hvar, Brac and Solta.Booking with Seafarer is very easy and we were looked after very well locally by Oliver and Orla in Split, Croatia.The yacht was in modern and in great condition.A flotilla meant we didn’t have to spend time planning the best locations or worrying about multiple other practicalities.Highly recommend and hope to return.

This critique concerns the behavior of the captains, as they direct people to specific restaurants so that they can get paid or eat for free, thereby undermining the local economy.It is unacceptable on behalf of the company that operates in Greece, as it destroys small businesses that do not wish to participate in such practices.

My wife, Christine and I first discovered Seafarer Sailing in 2008 and we have been with them on flotilla holidays ever since. We have been with them to Greece (Ionian, Kefalonia, Sporades (2), Dodecanese, and Saronic), Turkey and Croatia and all have been excellent. Indeed, we have booked to be part of the Peloponnese Explorer flotilla this April 2019. The organisation is good, the yachts have always been good and the crews professional and friendly. Highly recommended.

17th-25th September 2023 Wow what a week!I have just returned from the most amazing week sailing the Ionian islands of Greece with seafarer holidays on one of their cabin charters, it was amazing. From the first point of contact with the offices on London, the booking process was seamless, and nothing was too much trouble. Cabin charters are not readily available and this one had everything we wanted, it was also a credit to the company that they advised us against booking our initial choice, being for more intermediate sailors. I travelled with my best friend, and we met with a great bunch of people on board, and our skipper, George was just incredible. Super professional, skilled, knowledgeable and experienced as a skipper but also lots of fun. He took us to places I could only dream of - every day different, bays where we were the only people in the place, an anchor dropped for an idyllic lunch in paradise. Different moorings every night, in the most beautiful of places and helpful information on each place with regards to eating, shopping, shower facilities, etc. The sailing was incredible, and we had the sails up every day, George was great at getting everyone involved (you don’t have to get involved if you don’t want to but all of us wanted to learn and improve the sailing we had already done, and one couple were sailing for the first ever time!) George was a great teacher and our group ranging from very experienced – novice sailors all got a lot out of George's nuturing teaching skills. We spent every night together as a crew, eating, chatting, and socialising, and we literally didn’t stop laughing the whole week. By the end of it, we all left firm friends with the plan to book a holiday with Seafarer again next year, and with George as the skipper. The boat itself was lovely, we had all the facilities we needed, and the boat sailed beautifully, and living on board was very comfortable. George insured that fresh provisions were on board daily and we all had a great experience, making and eating lunches and breakfasts together as a crew on board daily. The Ionian islands are the most beautiful place I have ever seen in my entire life, despite having been as far afield as Hawaii and Australia. I could talk for ages about all our adventures but will attach a few photographs instead! Have sailed seven times with Seafarer to some wonderful places, always good value, nice boats and enthusiastic leaders (except one who was a miserable oddity). We were very nervous on our first trip with a 40 foot boat but the leader put us at ease and since then we have always returned to Seafarer.

We have just completed a great two week sailing flotilla with Seafarer and would recommend them to any one who wants to enjoy sailing in the sun! Our boat was spotlessly clean when we arrived and performed well throughout the trip despite some challenging sailing weather. The Flotilla team did a fabulous job of looking after all the boats and their crews, regardless of sailing experience or ability. We have sailed with other flotilla companies in the past but would now always choose Seafarer as the most professional.

I stayed at the Seafarer Nikiana Beach Club together with my wife and daughter for a week and it was truly one of the best hoidays we have ever had. The Seafarer Team are all excellent and took the time to help us in any way they could. My daughter still says when are we going back to Seafarer Beach" and i personally cant wait to get back there aswell."

This was our first time on a cabin carter, booking was simple and straight forward. I booked it a complete surprise for my wife’s birthday, all she was told was that we were going “Posh Camping”.We arrived by taxi at the dock side and was immediately greeted by the skipper and the first mate Calum and Louise (aka, Jack and Whitebait) they guided us aboard the spotlessly clean Christianna VII and introduced us to the other guests.From the start Louise in the galley was a dream, breakfast every morning was fresh tasty and nothing was to much. Lunch times, at anchor in an idyllic bay, she magically prepared all manner of culinary delights (don’t mention the egg-mayo sandwiches).Calum our skipper was very knowledgeable, experienced and calm in short, a dam good skipper.Louise and Calum work very well as a team allowing their guests to relax and enjoy themselves with lots of great humour, a winning combination.The rest of our “Posh Camping” week visiting one beautiful Greek island after another was just a dream come true. We were blessed with fantastic weather, awesome scenery and a sense of wellbeing that you only get when your surrounded by good like-minded people.Would I recommend Seafarer, Calum and Louise? Most definitely!

We've been on a number of different flotilla holidays with Seafarer Holidays now. They just keep getting better and better.From the support from Nevena and others in the office to the lead crew when we got there, all excellent.Special mention to Angelo and Yvet, the lead crew who were friendly, personable, helpful and a joy to be sailing with. Just the right amount of support when needed but not there at your every move.Probably like most flotilla sailors, we like to do things ourselves, as this is the best way to learn and improve. Angelo and Yvet were brilliant. They were highly professional, confident and experienced sailors but chilled enough for the guests to feel at ease.I have to say they're probably the best crew we've ever sailed with and we've been on more than 15 flotilla trips.We've never sailed in the Dodecanese islands before but we'll certainly be back. Great sailing, beautiful islands and very few other flotillas or yachts around. Perfect!Thanks Angelo, Yvet (and Angelo the Cat) for a fabulous two week break.
