Pane in The Sash

Been meaning to write this for 6 months. Louis replaced all our sash windows with double glazed windows. He did an excellent job and our house is definitely warmer this year. Louis is very professional and we are extremely happy with the work.

Fantastic experience from the outset! Louis replaced 3 sash windows at the front of our house that were completely rotten, using custom mouldings to order and heritage glass to replicate the old design as closely as possible. The lead time was accurate and although slightly longer than some companies it was definitely worth the wait! We also had 3 other sash windows renovated as the previous owner had painted them shut. I would highly recommend this local company and will definitely use them for any windows in the future! Thanks!

Brilliant service from all the team at Pane in the Sash. They made me an oak front door and frame and the workmanship is fantastic. Really helpful and superb quality.

We really can't recommend Louis and his team highly enough. They did an absolutely fantastic job on making and installing our new wooden sash windows, and they look incredible. Beautifully made, expertly fitted and you couldn't ask for nice people to deal with.

A very pleasant man came out to give us a quote for rectifying various window problems we had. He was helpful and reassuring and promised to get back to us. After a few chase ups, we received a very vague quote which really was unhelpful and didn’t really give us an indication of how much it would cost or exactly what work they were planning on doing. I asked some simple questions to help us understand the cost. Again, I had to chase up various times and in the end I gave them a deadline. We heard nothing. It was clear they didn’t want the job. I just wish these companies were honest at the start to save everyone time. It was such a shame as they were the only company that actually seemed to have some excellent ideas to solve some of our problems and genuinely understood what we were after.

The team arrived on time and worked solidly to replace my old windows and I never thought the new sash windows would look as good as they do! They vacuumed and tidied-up, leaving my house in a spotless condition.Very polite and professional staff, highly recommended.Fantastic job!

We had all our old single glazed windows replaced with double glazed (sash & casement), plus a new stable door and several flat single panes replaced with new double glazed panes. Louis and Genna have provided an excellent service throughout in spite of supply issues post-covid/Brexit etc. We are really pleased with the quality of the accoya wood units which will look lovely for years to come - supported by Gaz the decorator and his team. A huge job well done.

My old original bay window with the original stain glass was not fit for purpose, glass needed cleaning & repairing. Single glazed so not efficient for today. In winter always wiping condensation off. Could not face replacing with upvc & losing my stain glass features. Now double glazed. My stain glass is protected. Integrity of the window maintained & quality is as good as it was originally due to excellent craftsmanship. Amazing. Real hard wood windows will last much longer than plastic. Their appeal lasts a life time. Would recommend louis & all at Pane in the sash. Quality is worth waiting for

Pane in the Sash did fantastic work replacing our rotten original sash front window and repairing some of the other less damaged windows in our Victorian house. We were conscious of maintaining the original features of the house as much as possible and Louis and his team did a great job of sympathetically repairing / replacing. Would recommend their services to anyone.
