Ailsa Craig Medical Practice

After registration my details was still Not in the system 18 days from online registration and face to face visit to the clinict till I needed to use NHS services due to accident they apparently managed to 'register' me.On the other hand doctor and nurses are very friendly.

Amazing, I had a blood sample taken out today by Michelle, and she was lovely. Although i have very deep veins, she did it from first try and was painless

Dr Ghauri is very professional and caring. She takes her time to listen to your concerns. Thank you for all your help.

Went for flu vaccination of my child. Great service indeed. Thanks to Practice.

The worst! Can never get hold of anyone in reception. Can never get an appointment unless you call at certain times which even then nobody answers. If we're late by 5 10 minutes appointments cancelled but they make us wait outside a room for almost 30- 40 minutes over appointment time!! Ridiculous!

I have since moved from the area but had a great experience with this practice. From the reception staff, nurses to the doctors all the staff there were very kind and professional.

I have been with this gp all my life and I can day this gp do not bother sign up for it was on life support 2021 die to asking them for help constantly they work with wise pharmacy as I am not with them they constantly mess with my medication may not be gp practice may someone who working there but they are doing something dodgy if anyone know how to complain or even get them shut down because just had enuff no help what so ever please I advice you not to join with them

I have to say that the staff are mostly good. My gripe is how the practice is run and for whose benefit.My experience is that the practice has gone down and become more akin to a conveyor belt since Dr Nanavati retired. It appears to be run not for the convenience of patients. One has to phone 8am but the lines are constantly busy. The receptionists advise that if you don't manage to get to phone at 8.00 then go to a walk in clinic, call NHS 111 or go to A&E. The question that I pose is that if I am a patient of the practice and the practice gets NHS funding for me, then why am I being directed to alternative places. Even during the day if one calls on the phone the caller is placed in a queue to go on the practice queue. This can be up to 30 minutes.My needs are very simple. I just want to get an appointment with a doctor who I am comfortable with and at a time of my choice within limitations of availabilty for the practice and if I have to wait for a while that is not an issue for me.No one is able to address these issues for me.

Horrible horrible unhelpful receptionist setting at the desk, very very hard to book an appointment over the phone and they ask you tell you go see them in the morning and when I went they simply sent me to a walking centre or for my children just for temperature they told me to take them to A&E, the pratctice is not even busy.My wife wanted to see Dr Maw for her mental status for the past two weeks the receptionist simply says come back the next day and when We went they said Dr Maw is not working that day. They don’t even bother to help the patients.I’m with Ailsa Craig since 2004.Ailsa Craig medical practice was good when Dr Nanavati was at the practice.

Id give this GP minus 10 star if i could. People need to see the gp and the are on the phone over 39 minutes to be told oh we close at half day today go walk in" why dont u put a voice message on so people dont bloody waste the time trying to get through to u. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!!! So Called GP PRACTICE. You should be closed for good not half day!!"
