City Sight Seeing Open Top Buses

I’ve taken bus tours with this company in multiple cities and never had a poor experience like this. We attempted to take a tour the other day, choosing this one over Toot because at least there was a halfhearted sign to indicate the bus stop. We approached the driver at the stop and he said come back at 1:30pm for the next departure. Fair enough. We came back at 1:20pm just to be sure we were on time, and waited and waited and waited (a Toot bus has come and gone at this point). Finally the driver comes back with some lunch and we ask him again, and he says we were supposed to take the Toot bus that had just left. There had been no signage or verbal indication that this was the case. If they were combining for some reason they should at least have come out and told people waiting at the stop (though Toot was cheaper, so we paid for a more expensive tour that we didn’t get). It is very frustrating to do your due diligence and be stymied by poor (or nonexistent) communication and miss out on what I’m sure would’ve been a fun and interesting experience during our brief stay. Even if we can get a refund I’d be hesitant to trust this company again even in other cities.

Could have been betterThe tour guides did not give us the time of day, did not even greet us with good morning or tell us anything over the microphone about the sights we were seeing. They did however hand out earphones to our group that did not work. I'm guessing the big old building we drove past was Cardiff castle? Would not know as we were told nothing on our cold, soulless journey.For this pleasure we were charged £7 per person for a group of over 40 people (you do the maths).You would be far better off getting on a normal Cardiff bus from town to the bay and back, at least it says on the front of the bus where you are going.
