Like others, I've placed an order online - I thought successfully. Then when I've turned up to collect, the item I wanted isn't there / isn't available. Don't trust their online tool - if you want to be sure they have something available the safest way is to visit the shop as you would have done 40 years ago.

Ordered a concrete mixer for a job well in advance, got a phone call the day before asking if I could take a petrol one instead. I couldn't because of the noise so they said they were unable to offer a concrete mixer for me to hire. I made the point that they could see my booking in advance so I don't see how they can rent out more equipment than they have and I was told they don't sort Saturday hires until the day before. Completely useless and unreliable.

Started off well, But ended up as a shower of sheet. Fencing turned up two days late with terrible communication, then charged me for 4weeks hire when only on site for 2weeks. And then charged me for missing items. Which were correct and the same amounts and condition a delivered. Still in limbo as Communication is one way!!

Ordered online 24hrs before. Turned up to be told they might not have my order. Eventually they found they could hire the kit to me, but had to start it up and test it out back before hiring out as it was clear they were unprepared.Brandon's normally have a massive amount of kit available and staff are pretty good, wether it was covid time of day being a Saturday early doors or what ever I just found the process frustrating although nothing bad happened. Company is definitely not what they used to be although price was reasonable for a change

I booked and paid online for a sander and an edging sander. It was all seamless. The advice and help I received from the guys when I arrived to collect was great. Very friendly and supportive. Thank you!

Poor service from Brandon Tool Hire. I was relying on a piece of equipment to do a job today and was told it would be in yesterday afternoon for me to pick up this morning. However, after eventually getting through to them on the phone this morning I've found out that it's not there. Now surely if their customer service was any good they would have let me know about this situation yesterday?

Spoke with Ian at the Northampton branch, he helped me out no end with a large gantry hire just what was required to complete the almost impossible. Excellent service from start to finish which is rare for hire companies! Will use Brandon Hire in the future and again special thanks to Ian for all of his help.
