Had a delicious Sunday Roast, delivered quickly and courteously by their friendly staff. Best Yorkshire pudding to date, with very herby stuffing full of taste. Was also served with really good cauliflower cheese - they didn’t skimp out on the rich cheese sauce at all. The pork, potatoes and vegetables were all really well cooked and were complemented with crispy pork crackling and cranberry sauce. For dessert we had cheesecake; it was really good and had a lovely texture to it.Had a burger the other week also which was also amazing and really well constructed with fries and homemade coleslaw - just as good if not better than any burger themed restaurant. Can’t beat fresh ingredients that are cooked to perfection. The venue is also really lovely, all newly refurbished with custom equestrian themed details dotted around the place, and heaters for sitting outside and nice views of the nearby fields filled with sheep. The bathrooms were very clean and felt like being in a luxury hotel.Highly recommend this restaurant!

Another absolutely delicious breakfast with friends. Hidden oak is so consistently good. The food is excellent quality and the staff are fantastic. We go here regularly, have tried a couple of other local places but none match up to the Hidden Oak breakfasts.

Three and a half stars.Having read good things we visited on a wet Thursday morning for a late breakfast and coffees. Staff smiling and courteous, a good start.Food brought out quickly and warm, just sourdough toast and eggs Benedict. However, the two coffees were world’s apart, one ok and drinkable, the other, completely undrinkable.Usually, a polite table visit with “…is everything ok?” would have resulted in a fresh coffee. But sadly no customer/table checks, and although we tried eye contact it was unsuccessful. There were two occupied tables and about seven staff split between shop, kitchen and cafe - 3-4 of whom congregated around the till and coffee machine.Mentioned the coffee upon payment and having taken the funds was offered a takeaway, which I declined. An apology but no refund offered. It’s probably a one off, may try again but there are many other options. Perhaps a bit of extra effort on my behalf would have helped but for the sake of one coffee and my warm eggs going cold, it wasn’t worth it.Price wise over £20 for two coffees, Eggs Benedict and sourdough toast.

The best cafe around. Scotch egg is perfect! Coffee is great. Service is brilliant - nothing is too much trouble and everything has been well thought out; blankets and heat lamps on the terrace for example.Cakes looked incredible

Found a new gem while visiting my parents. One day I had the fabulous scotch egg with lovely coleslaw then popped in early one day for a terrific full English which I very rarely order but it was excellent. The coffee is top notch too. Highly recommended. Cheers RBS

We had a voucher for 2 roasts won from a local radio station so can’t comment on the value, but, as for the food, it was lovely. We both had roast pork and it was great. Was served with roasties, carrot, cabbage and Yorkshire and it was all lovely. Also got a dish of cheesy broccoli which was great!Overall nice place, good service and nice roasts
