Uppergate Farm

Spacious, great surroundings, easy for walks and runs across fields and lanes. Friendly locals, cute animals and facikities are spot-on, even including a separate play shed with toddler toye and ping pong and table football. Easy to relax and feel safe and welcomed here.

One more amazing family holiday shared at the beautiful Uppergate Farm. Uppergate Barn is like home from home. Perfectly equipped and immaculately clean. Cosy evenings by the fire, relaxing times in the hot tub, fun in the pool made it special. Steve, Alison, Catherine and Jane are so friendly and helpful. Thanks for making our time memorable. An absolutely gorgeous farm in a magnifiscent part of the world, Yorkshire.From feeding the animals on the farm, to enjoying a taste of local blonde beer, to relaxing in isolation in the Maythorn Yurt, we had an excellent weekend staying at Uppergate.There are many glamping places and most of them are pretty nice. But Uppergate has quite a few things that make it stand out - the beautiful village of Scholes attached to it, Victor and Blondey the pigs, a swimming pool and sauna and perhaps most, the great people who own and run the place.Highly recommend. We are going to come back in December to get some use out of the cozy log burner too. See you then, Uppergate.

Accommodation place and staff brilliant. Grandkids loved it. Feeding the animals and sorting the eggs great fun. Pool fabulous . Grand daughter 7 learned to tipple over tail. All loved it. We'll be back !

We went for a weekend get away. Never been to Uppergate Farm before, but it ticked all the right boxes online. There's hot tubs, swimming pool, sauna, and it's on a farm. What we didn't realise until we got there is how beautiful the area is. Absolutely stunning. The cottage (there's a few to choose from and we stayed in Bray Cottage) was clean and spacious. Everything was available there to make it a complete home from home. Plenty of towels for cottage use and for the pool. Even baby and toddler cutlery and dishes. There's a farm tour every morning, which my kids loved. They get to collect eggs from the chickens, and feed the pigs. The locals and friendly and there's a pub in walking distance (100 yards).We'll definitely be returning for a longer stay in the future.

The apartment was lovely but unfortunately we had a bad experience with owners. Spoken to very badly on the phone, was very short and irritable about when we were arriving on the Friday.Wedding morning was ruined due to being threatened and demanding more money due to them not knowing we were using it for a wedding. They then intimidated our photographer and florist who was just stopping by to drop off the flowers. Not good enough and will forever be a sad memeory of my wedding.my husband had told him we were getting married and we were staying there the night before and of the wedding- No where on the website does it state no weddings - even on the phone, they had the opportunity to tell us this when we said it was for our wedding.Myself and my my mum and my bridesmaids who arrived in the morning were getting ready there for a few hours. My husband and I stayed there and made sure the apartment was left to the standard asked of.Will not be staying here again, nor will recommend to anyone as how we were treated was appalling.

We had the best days here! What a lovely place it’s absolutely perfect to chill. The yurt was massive and fully equipped. Really good bathroom and spacious kitchen. We loved to log burner and the bbq outside. The hot tub is also great cause you can listen to the birds or watch the stars, it’s in a very wooded area. The bed was super comfy. The owner was lovely. We didn’t try the swimming pool but it looked great, we are def coming back!

Excellent weekend. Good swimming pool clean and tidy. Kids loved going out to feed the animals. Very quiet and relaxing. Cottage was supplied with everything we needed. Fresh bread,milk and fruit were supplied. Would recommend

Booked again for next year, very clean, very nice and exactly the break we needed. It was so peaceful, but also there's loads to do if you want to do it.

We had an absolutely wonderful holiday. The house was amazing & had everything we could possibly want & more. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived & the owner went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. The children collecting the eggs & feeding the animals in the mornings was a lovely idea. Our grandson really loved itWill recommend this place 100%.
