I was recently involved in a funeral that Mark was directing and was very impressed by his manner throughout. He was kind and thoughtful and gave the family lots of options and also time to make their decisions without any rush or bias. On the day itself, I felt he hit just the right balance. The family wanted a green burial that was dignified and respectful but also quite relaxed - which it was. One of the nicest I’ve ever been to. He did a very professional job and I have since recommended him to my own family.

They offered a truly personal service and nothing was ever to much trouble even offering a personal mobile number for that 24hr care.Unlike other major players in the funeral world you start this sad journey with Mark himself and stay with Mark till the end where nothing is ever to much.On loosing my father Mark carried me till the end gently advising me on what I was able to do for him, even ordering a Northern Soul music sticker for my father’s coffin it was these personal touches I will be forever greatful to Mark and his team for.

My mother died recently and I contacted Armstrong Funeral Service to ask if they could take care of the arrangements. I found Mark to be very friendly and helpful and he was able to recommend a humanist celebrant and a florist who both exceeded my expectations. The funeral itself ran very smoothly and was conducted with respect and dignity.

Nobody really wants to have to use the services of a funeral director. We met Mark at one of the saddest times but from the outset he was kind, caring and compassionate. Mark ensured he explained everything thoroughly giving us time to make the correct decisions as a family. He went above and beyond to ensure we had the funeral we needed to say farewell to a loved one. Mark adds a personal touch and has remained supportive throughout and continues to do so. From the very first phone call, to the follow up calls since and for everything in between, Mark was respectful, courteous and accommodating of all the wishes we had for my dad's funeral. He kept us fully informed on every aspect, and as we had both a church service and a service at the crematorium, co-ordinated everything smoothly and efficiently. Visiting the new premises where my mother was taken was nothing more than a shambles workmen working while visiting the so called chapel of rest that doubled as an office . My mums coffin delivered and left in the reception area for 2 days next to a toilet and sink .The price quoted for the funeral doubled the day before the funeral , my father questioned this and was pressured into paying £4500 cash ??? and that would be the end of it then mr Armstrong made my father sign a form for his record and in the small print put the remainder of the costs to pay even though he had agreed £4500 , I WOULD NOT USE ARMSTRONG HE RUINED A FUNERAL AT THE CREMATORIUM nearly dropping the coffin and doing the eulogy like a nervous schoolboy and missing many things out . Carry on funeral director comes to mind Sid James would have loved it . There are many other funeral directors I would use them unless of course you are not bothered about your loved one.....due to this review i have been threatened by Armstrong for slander by mr Arnstrongs fictional legal adviser this review will not be removed by myself until Armstrong refund my father for the rip off fees he demanded.

We as a family had the pleasure of being introduced to Mark Armstrong by my niece and nephews. He was chosen to care for my brother Howard, for his caring, kind, thoughtful and personal manner. I have to say he was undoubtedly the best choice they could have made. From our first meeting in his Louth branch he put us all at ease at this very sad time. Everything from that moment was run with precision and on the day, obviously being a sad time, I've got to say it was beautiful. Howard would have been so proud to have been cared for by Mark. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mark's personal service to anyone, thank you Mark.
