I would recommend sitel to get work experience. I didn't mind the place, but hate the job role, the policies and it felt like being in school again. Theres always something they pick on and there's always something you have to improve. Hours are rubbish and all over the place, also don't take holidays because they will take it away from you. I have booked a few holidays before I left due to having an eye operation which is no fault of my own, on my last week with them they decided they will not pay me 35.15 hours because apparently I owed them this. So worked the whole week unpaid, despite all the over time, hard work I did for the company and recommended friends to work here, you will never feel appreciated by this company. Always over staffed and always hiring because people come and go. If you want a less stressful job then this isn't the place to be.

The location is easy to get to, and the staff members are great to work with. I did enjoy working here, and I hope to work here again soon.

This call centre based in Exeter allows one to earn a good amount of money and work overtime if need be. The agents are always friendly and supportive and although not for some it is a good place to work for the money #JLTS

The recruitment process is a shambles, the HR don't even know they need your p45 to stop you getting emergency taxed on your crap wage. Once you're out of the initial 2week training you go into grad Bay where you get a reasonable amount of help and support but once you're on the live floor you're pretty much on your own. May the odds be ever in your favour! The management don't know their head from their arse most of the time and unless you ask for ear muffs and a mouth piece protector specifically and mention health and safety, you're welcome to inhale someone else's germs and enjoy sweat and dead skin off of the headpiece as you're not getting your own one, you need to use the one attached to the Pc that happens to be working when you start your shift. Also, never seen the desks clean once during my time there, sticky times!Worked on the Flybe account during my 3month ordeal there and can say, hand on heart, that I have never had a worse experience as a whole before in my working life. 1/10would not recommend. Also, give those poor people a pay rise, £7.09an hour?! Lowest paid call centre in Exeter, with the biggest staff turnover and the worst kind of management imaginable. They just don't give a monkeys...Terrible.

Poorly run, contradictory orders from management and supervisors, some very rude and dim people are in charge of this company.A lot of the staff that stay, do so because they would struggle to get a job any where else.A lot of the staff just talk about alcohol, derogatory gossip and their fav episodes of Friends etc.If you have proved with evidence that managers/supervisors have given you the wrong info to pass to a customer, the managers get passive aggressive to the member of staff who points the errors out, rather than educate/re-train the supervisors/management who gave the poor/wrong information out, which makes the professional staff stop asking questions to supervisors/management for fear of un-justified reprisals, when all the professional staff are trying to do is to solve the customers problems etc.It is made clear that Sitel is only interested in KPI's and yes men etc, rather than solving customers problems, hence why JLTS helpline has a score of 1.8 out of 10 on the JL Customer reviews website,(a truly pitiful score).Sitel are much more interested in the phone call being over quick, regardless of the customers problem being solved or not. However, the plus point is Sitel are so short staffed 24/7 (because of the above), that they literally will employ anyone, so if looking to escape a current bad employer. Sitel supply a good position in the job market, as I believe they would employ a bucket of dung if it could talk. And yes the toilets are always broken and filthy when in use. There are many, many more faults with Sitel that could be listed, but they have taken up enough of my time and Sitel will always be remembered by me with a 'jaw-breaking yawn.Good riddens! :D

The worst company to work. They all time have issue to pay you normal rate. If you are on holiday they don't pay you like they should, even staff is nice - is the fake. That's the reason people are leaving this place that fast like they come in. Was good at the beginning but when they start cheering on money - I deside to quit. Not recommended at all. If you dont have choise - find Teleperformance work from home. They are totally lyers and they all time giving you correct money. Avoid that place!!!!!

My girlfriend was going to work in Exeter. But her job was suddenly withdrawn with no warning or realistic reason. Not even given a chance to try. Even when her customer service experience spans 25 plus years. Don't do any job for Sitel..if this is the management style. No trust at all.

I understand the company has been getting a lot of stick but in truth they have been putting in the effort to make things better. Only been here for two months and so far so good. I guess maybe I can only say this because I am on the John Lewis Campaign and becuase of their client base you do enjoy speaking with your clients and you do have a lot of power to handle situations at your discretion.Wouldn't say it is the best thing ever, but at the same time it doesn't deserve the hate. I am working here part time while in Uni so I can buy the things I want since I am older now and I should start taking some responsibility so I cannot really say how it is for people that do this all day everyday. This is as honest a review as you will find so use this information as you pleaseAlso some of the guys have a thing for fancy hair and look really well groomed and you get free coffee and cookies and fruits as well.

Having asked to leave for a family emergency, I was told to not come back. Not only have they cancelled my contract, they have created huge uncertainty in a time of huge worry anyways. Would never recommend to another person, probably the worst company I have ever applied to work with.Think they should probably have a rethink about who they employ. Useful information for the Exeter office: 1) The office has a cafe with no hygiene certificate. 2) No phone use apart from when at the cafe. 3) The training is extremely slow, unnecessarily slow, with huge breaks, mainly to allow for smoking breaks.Avoid, even if desperate for work!

'Flexible hours' meant you worked around what they needed rather than employees getting the hours they needed for other arrangements. They forgot to replace the soap in toilets and everybody got ill, then they blamed the staff for unauthorised absences. The air conditioning never worked in the time I was there with eternally delayed repairs and the blinds were falling part so working in the deep summer or winter was painful especially in such formal attire. The pay was nice but it was totally unbearable after two and a half years. In fact many people left after less than a year. I only endured longer because other people in my position were so nice. This place isn't criminal but it's certainly aiming for the bare minimum standard.
