Friends of Burton Manor Gardens - Home | The Friends of Burton Manor Gardens, a volunteer group, are dedicated to restoring and maintaining the gardens and the grounds around Burton Manor. We have an active garden project reliant on volunteers and grants for the conservation of the original Victorian and Edwardian gardens. With the help of Heritage Lottery funding, a large Edwardian glasshouse has been restored to it’s original design. This glasshouse is big enough to be used both as a greenhouse and as a daytime education facility. As

Burton Manor
Pleasant short stroll with wonderful views of farmland and across the river dee. The Manor's private gardens have been restored and are stunning and easily seen from the walk. Only downside at the present time only because of building machinery is the muddy car park. But a small price to pay to see the views.

Beautiful gardens particularly the Edwardian walled garden and glass house. The wider gardens are interesting and the whole space is tranquil and uplifting. Well worth a visit and you may even be able to buy fresh organic vegetables which have been grown in the walled garden.

It was like stepping back in time, the volunteers do a marvelous job keeping all the beds and borders in tip top condition. It was fantastic to see all the veg plots being prepared while others were ready to harvest. Unfortunately a lot of the site is blocked off due to reconstruction and work going on to restore the manor. Will definitely pay another visit later in the season when some of the produce is for sale.Update August 2021 - the trail around the back of the manor is now open again.

This beautiful little walled garden is well worth a visit if you have an hour to spare. You can also walk around the formal garden in front of the manor house.

Lovely place but the new owners have started to build houses on site and therefore restricted access to parts of the estate.
