St James, Hutton-in-the-Forest
St. James', Hutton-in-the-Forest is a small and attractive church in a field near to Hutton-in-the-Forest Hall, a grade I listed building. However, I visited in the Easter Holidays and the church was locked and there was no information on where one might find the key. Being so close to a popular historic house open to visitors through the spring and the summer, I thought it might have been open. Then, upon further research, I found out the owner of Hutton-in-the-Forest, Lord Inglewood, who lives in the hall is the key holder. Such a disappointment, as, from images online, the interior looks very beautiful and historic.
