SIXT Car Hire - Heathrow Airport T5
Not only do they have no customer service to easily reach out to, their is no signage for return of the vehicle. There is no signage to exit when picking up the vehicle. (don't get stuck trying to exit the parking garage without a ticket). Then when trying to return we couldn't find where to return. Tried calling for over an hour (almost missed our flight). Then we're sent a $100 bill for driving through the drop zone.During the rental on the second day, I was sent a damage claim report saying I had damaged the vehicle. I responded to their form with pictures when we picked up that it looked like that when we got it. Then called a representative (which took 1-2 hrs). That representative supposedly made a note on our rental contract that the damage wasn't ours. And, guess what,2 months later they are trying to charge me hundreds of dollars for damage I didn't do. And, by try, I mean they charged my car without any notification (just like the drop zone fee, before I could even fight it). Do NOT use sixt, they are the worst company I have ever dealt with in my entire 39 years.

I had a bad experience...not saying yours would be, but check the small print when hiring, such as insurance. Keep in mind you'll need to part with more money at the time as an excess fee. My vehicle was damaged prior to collecting. Generally I was not satisfied.

SIXT Car Hire - Heathrow Airport T5
SIXT is turning into a scam. Ensure you take detailed pictures of every part of the car you rent, otherwise they will claim for each scratch. After 70 years of driving between my wife and I, with a single insurance claim on our own cars, we were incorrectly accused by SIXT for 3 damages after 200 miles driving - to the front, the back and the side of the car we rented. How we can make 3 damages to 3 different parts of the car is simply not logical. But SIXT relies on its own (poor) internal records of damages and then sends an unjust bill. Simply never ever use them again. And if you must, add 10 minutes before you drive away to take 4K pictures of each side of the car. But really, simply never use them is best.Please disregard the generic response that SIXT may make below. There is actually no actual normal conversation, and they simply send boiler plate legal fine print and then invoice your credit card for their fraudulent claim. After this - obviously our last ever SIXT experience - I then noticed they are close to bottom place on the Which! rankings of rental companies; I noticed they get 1* on tripadvisor across all global locations. SIXT deserves to be taken to court by somebody with the energy for that - please reach out if you are launching a class action lawsuit in the UK against them.

SIXT Car Hire - Heathrow Airport T5
From Terminal 2, take a free train to Terminal 5 then a short walk over to the Sofitel. Easy access. Once there, the check-in was a breeze. Roshan was super friendly and helpful, A+ for giving us a much better class of car! What a great little car we got, so much fun to drive. Return was equally quick and easy as well. Definitely would pick up a car again from this branch if we make another trip back to UK. Overall, a great experience.

Overall, just a very seamless and good experience. The car was great. Pick up was great and return was much easier than I had worried about and expected. Gentlemen, who started the process when we picked the car up at Heathrow dealt with a wary and nervous customer very very well. Overall, I would have no hesitation in recommending your company to any friends who are traveling.

I hired an Audi A3 from sixt at Heathrow Airport due to a delay and therefore missing my connecting flight to Newcastle, I would of had to wait in the airport for 10 hours for the next available flight, my 5 year old had an ear infection which started on the flight so there was no way I could have waited that long. Originally I planned on hiring the car for a week and driving back down to London for the weekend and dropping the car back off at Heathrow but plans fell through and I ended up extending the hire for the rest of my trip (3 weeks in total) I also had to change the drop off location to Newcastle airport as my flights were already booked from there. I can’t thank sixt enough for making this as easy and stress free as possible for me! Every member of staff I encountered were pleasant and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Also, thank you for the suggestion on the Audi A3! It was a dream to drive! Well done Sixt!

Worst service. Dangerous and Irresponsible. I rented multiple cars and was met with the worst service possible. I paid full insurance and coverage, had a flat tire and had to wait for more than 12 hours, the car was still there for 3 days straight. Called them consistently only to go in circles, wasted 2 days on hold. From 2 PM to 1 AM they were not willing to help. Finally at 1 AM they confirmed a replacement for the next day and a taxi to pick us up at 8:30 AM, not only was there no taxi, when we arrived at the airport to pick up the replacement, they had no idea about anything and we had to go through the whole thing again. They gave us a consolation “upgrade” honestly we just wanted to enjoy our last remaining days only to be charged for the upgrade (we didn’t care for, we needed an SUV) and have the insurance removed. I paid for FULL insurance and it was changed to third party without being informed, they removed ALL record of the failed rental with the flat tire. A manager promised to call us back and never did.If I was to write how terrible the service was it would be an essay so let me break it down.1. Call center not helpful and rude.2. No replacement for the car for 2 days.3. They “upgraded” in their point of view because this is a family trip I needed a big trunk not a sports car( we had wheelchairs etc)4. They changed the insurance from Full to third party without informing us, when they gave the replacement car (2 days late)5. They changed the category of the car, when I changed the pick up location.6. Not a single Manager took our call even we were promised a call, they were all too busy for 1 week (and pending)7. When I called to fix the car category by phone, she gave us a location in GLASGOW, I need to take a flight to pick up the car, and then HUNG up when I said I needed a car closer to my location.THE WORST EXPERIENCE IN CAR RENTAL ACROSS THE WORLD AND COMPANIES.ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE TRAVELING WITH CHILDREN AND ELDERLY WHO ARE ON WHEELCHAIRS.

Review for SIXT HEATHROW SOFITEL BRANCHWe booked a compact SUV via general telephone executive and that as welll was very professional and informative communication. PickUp and drop off was to be taken fromSofitel branch at Heathrow Terminal 5. After receipt of the vehicle we realized it was way too small than anticipated. We went back to the desk and showed our concern that it was our misunderstanding to choose the car. Not only did the two staff members helped to change/ upgrade car but not even for a single momemt showed a sign of frustration or disappointment. They rather went out of the way to discuss all options again, patiently changed new car and yet smiling with the most welcoming attitude.Three cheers to Christian and Jigna ( both were available at Sofitel Terminal 5 Heathrow branch - time 8am on July 10th)I have never seen such charming and most welcoming staff that made our experience so seamlessly smooth.They are your perfect rising and shinning stars that keeps SIXT name at the highest level.Pick up of vehicle and return procedures are very simpleAnd appropriately indicated .Clean car and overall Fantastic service. Slightly expensive than the competitors but forKind of service, it’s all worth it
