Barchester - Tixover House Care Home

I would like to take this opportunity to recommend Tixover care home to any one either looking for residential or nursing care for the elderly.Both my parents moved into Tixover at Easter and the compassion and care they have received has been exceptional. Sadly my mother passed recently and the staff have supported my father through this traumatic experience. They have also been kind and thoughtful toward myself and gone out of their way to make me welcome when visiting.The home is very clean light and spacious and the maintenance team are efficient and helpful if any extras need attending to.The chef is excellent and creates a three course meal for residents daily at lunch time, I have often been greeted with and enjoyed a cup of tea and delicious scone on my arrival.Ive the manager is always willing to listen and makes the space in her busy day to personally check in withresidents, she is hands on and a qualified nurse, and is always looking to improve the quality of care.Both my parents were happy at Tixover .

What a friendly, caring and lovely place to visit. The staff are attentive, knowledgeable and caring. The residents all appear to be well looked after and happy. The extensive grounds and gardens allow for more then just an armchair visit and the activities staff were on hand too, helping everyone to celebrate Chinese New Year. A perfect setting in which to entrust the care of your loved ones.

Lovely care home with staff who's priority is the residents! its clear that Tixover's main interest is the relatives and most importantly the residents. Tixover are very prompt on replies and every single member of staff is always happy to help and assist with any queries and there is always service with a smile

My sister has been resident at Tixover Care home for 4 years and has always had excellent care. Ivy, the manager, runs a wonderful team who genuinely care about the residents and their welfare. Nothing is too much trouble and the home puts great effort into both the physical and mental well being of their residents. My sister is very happy there and I cannot recommend Tixover highly enough.

Lovely, patient and caring staff. The home is in a beautiful a setting and is clean and smart. It feels a little like a hotel than an institution and everyone is extremely friendly, welcoming and attentive.

I visit regularly in my healthcare role. Tixover has a warm welcoming atmosphere. The staff are caring and perform their jobs over and above what is required of them. I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home.

Beautiful home with scenic surroundings..Even being agency,our staff are always welcomed and the team treat them as one of them.Our team love spending time with the residents.

I came into tixover house recently . The atmosphere was incredible , staff were helpful and the manager was very attentive .All residents looked happy . I would recommend putting your mum/ dad in this home

Mum has lived in the care home for the last 4 years. It is a bright, spacious and airy home in a lovely country setting. The staff are always very welcoming and very caring and always willing to go that ‘extra mile’ whenever necessary. They were extremely professional during the Covid times so I felt comfortable that mum was being well looked after.That said, it is great to be able to visit mum in her room again and we look forward to the time when we are able to join her for a meal again, which was one of her greatest pleasures! ( and the meals were delicious!) I would also add that the current staffing team are great …..thank you for all you do !

My mum has been at the care home for a few weeks. The home’s reputation for the best in the area is well deserved. Set in beautiful grounds which mum loves. The home is spotless the food is excellent but best of everyone of the staff that works with Ive are amazing. The level of care is second to none. Mum had almost given up but each day she smiles and laughs and nothing is too much for the nurses and carers. The staff even come to see the residents on their days off! Thanks to everyone at Tixover house. Well done everyone
