I’m so pleased we found Verity to help us plan and design a small single storey extension with a reconfiguration of the existing internal space to create a kitchen/diner/living area with separate utility room. A great communicator who’s quick to respond to calls and emails, she listened carefully to the brief, was very patient when the design went through various revisions, and had excellent advice and suggestions. The result is wonderful – balanced, transformative and far better than I could have imagined. We even built the patio she designed! Should we ever embark on another building project, I would definitely hope to use her services again.

Verity has been absolutely fantastic. She took our very confusing, very old cottage and completely redesigned the layout to make it work for us and make the most of the space. Her enthusiasm for the project was infectious, her drawings were beautiful and she spent time talking us through them. She organised our planning application and had given us so much useful advice. We had a fantastic experience with Lacey Architecture.We came to Verity with a fairly rough idea of what we wanted to achieve. We were hoping to replace our garage and porch while providing some additional form of home office space. We didn't have any well defined ideas of how exactly we were going to achieve it or how we wanted it to look.Verity took the time to talk with us, suggesting a range of ideas, and providing excellent detailed sketches and 3D artwork for the options to help us come to a decision we were happy with it. She also provided really helpful guidance for commissioning drawings from her, the stages of the planning application process and selecting a contractor. The full set of drawings including having a green roof on the garage, as well as additional drawings when our contractors asked for extra details. Part of our requirements were for a sound proofed music room, and she did the research to really explain to us what that would require and identified potential systems we could use to achieve our goal.We are very happy with our finished build, particularly some of the details she suggested that we wouldn't have thought of that really bring the whole design together and enhance the look and feel of our home.We would, and have, happily recommended Lacey Architecture to others.

Verity is a consummate professional who seems to glide gracefully between the different skill sets of an architect with great ease. What I mean by this is that she equally at home sitting in a meeting with a Head of Planning, being patient and charming, technically drafting innovative ideas or in hard nosed discussions about how the build can be delivered within budget. I have worked with few archetects who are as down to earth and who really listen to the needs of clients in such a way. Highly recommended.

Verity has been so helpful and supportive in seeing through our single storey rear extension, which has transformed our house into a wonderful family home.
