Roger is a star as starter, very helpful & knowledgeable. Significant areas GUR & amendments to course should be well publicised as first green now winter green at present. Booking system works well but would benefit from a venue management system as available through Scottish Golf (free).

Long hard course unless you are hitting the ball well. I thought course was in good condition.

Very poor condition, only get to play 8 big greens and 1 winter green making it a 9 hole course. Course is waterlogged with poor drainage. They are promising to upgrade the course but we'll wait and see as we've been promised this for a good few years now. It's been run down so much that at times there are more dog walkers than golfers.Improvements to the course underway with new drains having been installed. Has helped a lot. Unfortunately still only playing 9 holes but definitely an improvement to playing conditions.

Council owned golf course that fell away badly sometime ago but recent years has seen it improve with new drainage, catch fencing etcDecent test of golf with small greens which are quite often evelated and like an upturned saucer so few areas where ball can run off.Season tickets are relatively cheap

I can think of better ways to spend £20. Course is in awful shape just now. Used to be such a great course. East ayrshire leasure doing great job in making what is a great layout into a dive.Really pains me to see course in such state as i learned to play on this course and was always great in the summer, winter didn't hold up so well but what courses at this level do? We're sitting half way through spring and rough has stones through it, fairways are overrun with daisy a tufts of grass and greens are patchy and thick grass, seen ball run quicker through rough at my own course.Best thing that can happen to this course is they can go same way as Caprington and be menbers owned. Significant investment is much needed. When you can play rowallan, troon courses, loudoun all for same price, why would anyone waste there money here.Course might come good in summer if they put alot more work into it and i hope it does as i hate to see it this state. Time will tell but its not looking good.
