Mountain View Lodges And Spa

This was an amazing experience can’t wait to come back !We received a very warm welcome and all the staff that we talked to where lovely.Facilities where great and much bigger than expected with all the amenities needed (fridge was very appreciated).The whole place has a lovely relaxed vibe and is very well finished.The hot tub was the best feature, you could heat/cool to own preferences and the robe/slippers that where provided helped with the all of 5 step journey from the hut.Maybe more parking is needed since the place is getting so popular but the staff where always around to help.Will definitely be back as had such a great night, thank you !

Stayed here on Sunday.....staff were friendly enough but the room was freezing as was the shower, signal also terrible on the TV, paid for Shane's Lodge for use of the inferared sauna which didn't work, went to get into hot tub this morning and the guy was draining it and check out wasn't until 11

Recently stayed in the hobbit lodge at Mountain view and absolutely loved it. It is such a beautiful wee spot with gorgeous views. It was a very peaceful stay. We will be sure to be back to try one of the other lodges.

Stayed in ‘The Den’ , when we arrived yesterday we were advised to drive behind our hut and the staff member left us waiting for 20 mins when we then walked around to the front of our hut she was speaking to other guests that arrived after us and was told ‘young people like you don’t need me showing you about’, we had never been before and had no idea where we were going and it would’ve been nice to get a bit more information on how everything worked in our pod, then when we went into the den there was no curtains on the windows, yes majority of the windows were frosted glass but there was big writing on the windows that was clear so it felt like everyone could see in , not to mention one of the windows right near the bath and a children’s play park was right beside it, then when we attempted to lock the door the door wouldn’t lock whatsoever, my partner sat and fought with the door for half an hour to try and get it to lock as we were heading out for dinner , we then rang a staff member explained the situation to her and she just said ‘give it a good slam, if it doesn’t work then I don’t know’ , so we were then left having to try and fix this door to get it to lock ourselves. Was not the best customer service. The Hot Tub was pretty much cold by the time we got in it in the evening also with very little hot water flowing into the hot tub every so often. The price for one night stay wasn’t worth it.

Unfortunately, the only way to descibe our much anticipated stay at Mountain View lodges(MVL) was sorely dissapointing. The shock and utter audacity of an email from MVL requesting that self tan must not be worn two days prior to our stay was the first disapointment. This is information that if shared prior to booking would have had an impact on us actually deciding to stay or not. It very much felt like an attempt to alter a persons identity. Not to mention the feeling of being in school when they state that fake tan wearing will be checked upon arrival and the customer will be asked to remove it. Having stayed in some of the top hotels and settings in NI, it is a first this request has ever been made to us. However, getting over the initial shock and accepting the fact that it is MVL rules we arrived on 29/07/23. Following the email, we expected a spotless setting that reflected the rules. To our disgust, sadly, this was not the case. The pod was vile! We are not sure when last it had been cleaned. The standard was completly shocking! We fully appreciate that the lodges are in the countryside and there is an element of cobwebs etc to be expected but what we experienced was nothing short of negligence and disgusting. An antibacterial wipe/spray is not too much to ask and definately would make for a much healthier and cleaner stay to reflect the pricing. The step into the hot tub is completly rotted wood and collapsed as I climed in causing ankle pain. This requires urgent attention before a customer is seriously hurt. There is no doubt the views are stunning so it was very much a case of having to make the best of the very disappointing situation. The following morning was yet again, another dissapoinment when we both realised the showers were running freezing cold water. Our initial plan was to stay in quite a few of the lodges over time but it is safe to say, unfortunately, that is no longer the case. Sadly, we would not reccomend.

Stayed in Loughview Lodge with my boyfriend for 1 night. Was greeted by a friendly member of staff who showed us around. We were amazed by how good the view was. Accommodation is lovely and clean. Hot tub was perfect. I liked how the different accommodations aren’t spaced too close together as this has been a downside in other places we have stayed, we had complete peace and quiet to relax and enjoy our stay. The only very small negative point I can make is there was a bin beside our lodge that was full and beginning to overflow and some of rubbish has spilled onto the grass, however this is a very minor flaw which did not affect our stay. We have both said we will 100% be returning☺️

Great location, amazing views and friendly staff. Everywhere was clean and we were provided with everything we needed for our stay. Will definitely be back to stay at the Hobbit Hut again!

Really disappointed by this place after the price we paid. We got woken up to loud banging at 9am outside of our hut to a man draining the hottub that we were going to go into at 10 for a hour before we left. You would think for the price you pay you would get full use of the hot tub as your paying the price for the whole experience. Also to be woke up by banging on your day off is just ridiculous it feels like your being pushed out. Check out is 11am and the next person dosnt check in until 3pm so I think 11am is time enough for them to drain the hot tub and do what they have to do. We also were baby free for the first time in a long time and were excited about getting a bit of extra sleep but that didn’t happen. We paid an extra £20 for breakfast which said it was would be delivered to our hut 9:30-9:45am I then realised the next day when I asked them when is breakfast being delivered they left it in our hut the day before. The milk oranges and bananas had been sitting out from the day before. When I spoke to the women about the issues I had she just kept comparing her lodges to other lodges. (We have stayed in lodges cheaper and got the full experience of what we paid for) The only thing she said she can accept and just about apologised for was the banging. The young girl who greeted us was lovely and the views were nice. Wouldn’t return after our experience.

Not looking a refund. Just a few issues that i feel needs addressed .poor introduction. Room lacked basic clean. Bathroom. Wasn't clean .room was damp tv didn't work cigarette butts laying around. Hot tub cold. At the price i was total shocked. At the lack of even the basics glasses to have a drink. Very poor treatment. Would not return.a week as now passed and yet no one has the manors to reply. I would just like to add that the bed had no mattress protector. And due to this fact on my return home itching. I had to be treated for what i could only describe as bed bugs. If anyone goes here please bring your own bedding. and a good anit repellent with you.
