City West Housing Trust - Eccles

This is my new review, my kitchen unit door fell off in my sheltered property.The hinges completely full of Rust, but instead of repairs, they want to send their Handyman to do it at £5 hour + fittings. Told them NO, why should residents repair their property. I pay Rent, Service Charge, Warden Charge, Now they want me to pay for their repairs.I will leave the door off, till I leave or Die, they can fix it for their next resident

Was told to clear kitchen for the ceiling to be done 5 days later still no one .phone them up only to be told to wait ontil thier subcontractor has appointments to get back to me as its not an emergency. Worst ever

What a disgusting company had 2 properties with them over the years first a house in Swinton master bedroom wall covered in mold took 2 years before anyone came out there so called specialist who told my (at the time) pregnant partner it was ok for her to clean the wall therefore breathing in dangerous mold, moved out of the property ,within a week as they were getting no rent had scaffolding and builders sorting it out. Then had a flat balcony constantly flooding because the gutters needed clearing never done in the 2 years we were there and bins constantly overflowing and rats only after ring h+s did they get cleared, went with a new house with Arcon housing never had a problem

Had a downpipe leaking from above flat been to repair.

Brilliant company. Have bent over backwards to make our move happen. Have had various private landlords in the past and it's a breath of fresh air to actually know if we have any repairs etc they will actually be done and usually on time too.

Don't care about their tenants or their propedtys

Shocking state of affairs! I've been a tenant with them for many years. Every year their repair service has been getting worst. This week they've taken their poor service to an all time low level! In 2018, it's takes them to repair a broken down boiler, 5 WORKING DAYS!!! And I'm not talking a major part or anything, this is just a sensor! A family of 5, which includes a disabled person requiring heating on 24/7, and an 18 month old toddler, we need to keep the house warm and have access to hot water 24/7. This boiler is possibly one of the most popular boiler on the market, and the fault is one of the most common faults on these boilers. We've been without hearing and hot water now since Thursday, I phoned them Monday, and they advised me they can't tell me when it will be fixed. Shocking shocking shocking!! Their heating contractors must be able to get hold of the part easily. Waiting for 5 working days + 2 weekend days = 7 days without hot water and central heating in mid winter with 0° temperatures outside. Absolutely ludicrous, not good enough. Sort yourselves out CITY WEST!!

Been waiting six months for mold in living room and kitchen to be resolved (needs pointing). Keep getting the runaround. Been calling into office weekly for five months, told they will phone in five days but no one has. Now given 19th August for work to be done. I will believe that when it happens. Further problems 15/10/18. Told someone will phone within 24 hours NOT happened. Same fobbing off lies from City West staff. Totally useless.They no longer send rent statements and expect customers to use the virtually useless app.

God help us, it's like pulling teeth getting anything done. If you can wait a few years then you're good to go.
