DHL Express Service Point (WHSmith Oban)

4 quid for a phone call! They charge you to call them to tell them they messed up. Just a rubbish company all together!

Staff at the store are very nice and helpful, but be warned: DHL service here is a third-party service. A contractor picks up from WHSmith to deliver to DHL in Glasgow. Do not expect shipments to leave Oban quickly. I dropped a parcel on a Saturday early afternoon, and it didn't reach Glasgow until Thursday late afternoon. Would have been far better/cheaper to use mail service, and DHL wasn't very helpful in providing tracking along the way. This 'partnership' reflects poorly on both DHL and WHSmith.

Was texted on Friday to say my package would be delivered between 4pm and 6pm and about 5.15pm I got another text to say they had been delayed and it would be delivered on Saturday but Saturday came and went and no package no text no apology so its fingers crossed for Monday.

I wanted to deliver a letter for shipment to Norway on Saturday. The manager was not in and no other staff was trained so imposible to ship. I was recommended to come back on Sunday, they guaranteed that the manager would be in then. Sunday morning, no manager was present and nobody knew when. They recommended Tesco post-office. Tesco post-office was able to deliver for 1/7 of the DHL prise. Advice: Stay away from DHL Oban!
