Mansion Tyne - Mansion Student Accommodation

Mansion Tyne is an amazing accommodation for students in Newcastle. Its located along the quayside which is gorgeous especially if you get a room with the view of the river (which is beautiful on the night). Its about a 20 minute walk from Northumbria University and a 25 minute walk from Newcastle University and city centre. The location is actually rather perfect because you're away from the busy centre rush but not too far away that its a trek. The rooms themselves are actually rather modern with all the facilities needed. Wardrobe (without doors which I always questioned), shelving, desk with chair, radiator and of course the en-suite bathroom. I have lived there for two of my three university years and the rooms themselves have no faults really. Some of the rooms and kitchens could do with a lick of paint and freshened up but other than that its brilliant. Its comfortable. The only mistake I made as a shy person was not asking to be placed in a dorm with less people. In my first year I was allocated with 6-7 other people and it was rather difficult. I recommend if possible asking to be put with 3 other people as its much more quieter and gives more space in the kitchen. Louisa and Rachel are super accommodating and will help you through any troubles, queries or doubts. They were my rock my entire stay and really supported me whether they realised it or not. The study room is amazing, as is the cinema and game room. I'd really recommend for the company is to invest with a different laundry company that isn't circuit because one of the washers is always broken and its like £6 in total to wash and dry your clothes. Maybe fix the fire alarm too as that is incredibly sensitive. Other than that, I recommend Mansion Tyne. I always felt safe there and had restful nights there. If you're thinking of moving to Mansion Tyne you'd be super welcomed and have a really good time. I am so thankful for all the memories I was able to create there, it really felt like a home away from home.

I have lived here for two years now, the management staff is the best you can find, they'd sort everything out for you, and they are always here for everyone who needs help.Rooms are a decent size, and the kitchen areas are bigger than in other accommodations. Perfect for pres! or just to chill with your friends.Social places are really nice and always clean.Definitely staying for my third year!!

It's a student accommodation. Rooms are big in size compared to other student accommodations around. Rates are affordable as well. Just 10mins walking to northumbria university. It's a good choice for students looking for bigger rooms.Although I hate the fire alarms here( especially in midnight) and also the wifi service is worst. *They market it as upto 100mbps and you don't even get 10mbps in reality*. You get a cinema room which never works perfectly(speaker connectivity issues) and the pool table is always broken. No gym or TT table here which is really disappointing. Bike parking is available for free.It's been 6 months I'm staying here and so far the experience is average.#studentaccomodation #newcastleupontyne

I stayed here for a year, the hospitality team is friendly and the building is secure. It may seem secluded but it is lovely inside.The rooms are large in area in comparison to most rooms I visited with similar range of prices.Events are held throughout the year!There's a community engagement room with Cinema room to use onsite.Inside community engagement room there is a paid pool table and a dining room as well.

Really friendly place, reception staff really helpful and friendly, Louisa was brilliant with anything I needed help with or was unsure of and also if I needed to talk to someone she was always there for me to talk too! Would 100% stay again!!

Good place for students to stay, near to quayside, so you can spend weekends on peacefully and also there is sunday market, where you can buy stuff. 15 mins walk for metro station.Drawbacks are little far (20-30) mins away from Newcastle uni, rooms are little smaller when compared with other accommodations.

I was apprehensive when dropping my sister off at mansion tyne as it is her first time away from home as a shy 18 year old, preparing for university. On arrival, we were greeted by a friendly team. Louisa checked my sister in and explained all of the useful information me some general city information.. my sister was upset and abit teary which was picked up on by the team and Rachael kindly offered to personally show us to her room which I thought was a nice touch. Both Louisa and Rachael were so warm and inviting and instantly made myself and my sister feel at ease. The room was spacious and clean and we were shown the social space and cinema room which is great for someone like my sister, who as I mentioned, is really shy. I have no doubt that she was fit in well here. Mansion Tyne has a really warm feel about it and the staff were second to none.

possibly the best accommodation in newcastle!! rooms and bathroom are all perfect in size, location is convenient and the management is amazing!! special shoutout to louisa, rachael and phil!! so friendly and welcoming, always there to fix any issues etc and always up for a nice chat. couldn’t recommend this place enough! xxx

Very impressed by this gorgeously located student accommodation. Staff always respond promptly to my emails and are happy to help when needed.I would encourage any student to consider Mansion Tyne. I’m a doctoral student and have had no problems with any of the residents. The erratic tapping at 4am from the person above me can be forgiven. Whoever you are, please go to sleep.I’ll be renewing my contract; just look at my view!
