Mad about dogs

Keith was brilliant and made me and my dog feel comfortable at first and was very knowledgable, overall as a trainer he was brilliant.But I had a young dog who barked a lot at other dogs and was a nervous and intriguing puppy at the time. I got put in a class a few times where I always felt on edge and very uncomfortable, the other people in the class were not particularly friendly or polite and would sometimes moan about my dog barking etc. Even though my dog was amazing at the tasks we had to do and actually much better than the other dogs who have been training their for years, I still felt uncomfortable by everyone in that class and it wasn’t a positive friendly atmosphere to train a young dog in, for that reason I didn’t want to go back.

Have been going to Mad about Dogs for 6 years now with my dog (and now new puppy) for training with Keith and swimming with Nicky. They are always professional and go the extra mile to be helpful.Also they make it fun for the dogs! What better recommendation than a well trained, sociable and happy dog?

Have trained with Keith and Nicky for almost 20 years. My dogs have always had excited whines when arriving, which to me shows more then this 5 star review. They are kind and informative, and very importantly, approachable. If I am unsure of a training method, Keith will happily explain his methods, and put me at ease. My latest dog has, how shall I put it, been challenging. As well as guidance, they showed support. A great team, lovely people and a real rock in my life with dogs.

My 2 Dachshunds are completely different one who loves everyone and barks in excitement the other a very nervous one who barks when scared. The first time he came to Nicky & Keith he barked for a few minutes but then stopped and enjoys his time in the pool. Now we arrive and the nervous one does not even bark. He knows where he is and is so excited to be there and the love the team at Mad about dogs give is amazing. 5 ⭐️ xx

We've taken our dogs to puppy training with Keith and our older dog to hydrotherapy with Nicky every week. They are lovely people who have agreat set up t there and you can tell they are genuine dog lovers.Would highly recommend.

First took our collie pup to their classes over 10 years ago. They are excellent trainers and always have the best interests of the dogs at heart. Also took my labrador swimming with them before and after surgery. They are very caring and the one to one swimming provided brilliant rehab for my dog

Keith and Nicky have been brilliant with offering advice , training and therapy for our dogs for nearly half a decade. I think it telling that the dogs love both of them. We bumped into Nicky and Keith at a cafe the other day, and our Goldie was all over them. You can't get a dog to fake love or trust! So it's not just us humans that recommend them to family, friends and we'd recommend them to you

Nicky and Keith are extremely dedicated and professional dog trainers. We have used them for a decade for all of our dogs—for puppy training, agility, obedience, dog first aid training and hydrotherapy. They care deeply about dogs and about helping owners give them their best lives.

I have been going to Mad About Dogs for over 8 years & find Keith & Nicky so friendly & helpful. My dog is very nervous around people,but with gentle encouragement from Keith & constant training,he is so different now. He loves swimming & agility at Mad, our happy place. Highly recommended.
